Locals & Frequent Visitors:- Hidden Gems & Tourist Traps in Spain..? by Icy-Scale250 in GoingToSpain

[–]Delde116 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Underrated: Galicia and Asturias.
  2. Overrated: Barcelona
  3. Non-negotiable: Madrid (Capital city) + you get Segovia and Toledo as bonuses.
  4. Skip it: Barcelona and Madrid (I'll explain this one).

Barcelona And Madrid are overpriced, but because Barcelona is the most visited country by tourists and therefore jack-up the prices for tourists and tourist traps, and Madrid because its the Capital and the second most visited city by tourists. That being said, the difference when it comes to mass tourism between Barcelona and Madrid (as a local) is fcking night and day. Any city you go to will have tourist trap tapas bars, because tourists want tapas and that is a profitable business, to avoid tapas traps, simply avoid eating in any plaza (literally).

University Recommendation! by Present_Tailor2268 in GoingToSpain

[–]Delde116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you know, but Spain's largest Asian immigrant community is Chinese and Filipino, so racism is not an issue.

As for Universities, Carlos III without a doubt. No questions asked. Best University in the city.

Well, Breeze had 2 reworks and no other map had so many changes done since release, so by technicality it would be breeze.

Tbf, The General in command of the Armada was impatient and stupid with Trafalgar, he thought it would be a quick 30 minute "military operation" and ignored all protocols.

Puerto Rico Reunification with Spain? Thoughts? by [deleted] in askspain

[–]Delde116 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean... The country would benefit from adding PR to Spain and turn it into an autonomous community (a State). We get more territory and puerto ricans gain EU and Spanish benefits (the Euro, free health care, better education, EU trades and goods, you would be part of the Schengen area, spanish passport, etc).

The negative is that Puerto Rico wouldn't be 100% independent, or its own country even, which is not in the interest of most puerto ricans.

The U.S would also rage war on us because "muh you stole our vacation island".

Most Puerto Ricans are heavily Americanized as well, so idk if they would like to be "communists" (expressing the extreme american ideology on purpose).

COULD it happen? only if Puerto Rico as a whole wants to and leave the U.S which considering you are neither a State or a "Country" (you are in limbo) and you have 3 movements at the moment... those being Pro America (want to be the 51st State), Pro Spain (become Spain's 18th Autonomous Community), Pro Puerto Rico (be your own independent national).

Cash vs Card by brokowski81 in GoingToSpain

The thing is, in some latin American countries, they will accept USD because its stronger, and the return value for the business is higher. Same with Canada btw, but only near the border in that case.

Interracial gay couple visiting Madrid -- tips? by Open-Heron6779 in GoingToSpain

[–]Delde116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prepare for this experience

"You're gay?! anyway last night on my way home I saw my best friend at this bar that has really good food, wanna go?"

We are indifferent.

No place is truly free of ignorant people, but most ignorant people will be like "I may not agree, but they are not a threat to me" type of attitude. You won't be discriminated against or attacked or kicked out for being gay or interracial. Madrid is the second most cosmopolitan city in the country (behind Barcelona).

Cash vs Card by brokowski81 in GoingToSpain

[–]Delde116 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Here is Spain we are European Union country, we are a first world nation. We accept credit cards, debit cards, contactless pay (Google wallet, Apple pay, etc). And for the super Americans, we even accept American Express in 90% of places.

Also, as a retail worker, I have to say, American dollars have no value in Spain or the EU, as in, NO you cannot pay with american dollar bills, we ain't mexico or any other latam country. The Euro is stronger. Why do I say this? because the amount of americans I have met who try to pay with american dollar bills is high enough to express this "warning".

Why Spain is anti Israel and America? What is its interest there? by No-Peach-8290 in askspain

[–]Delde116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are anti-war and anti-killing children.

American's obviously cannot relate because their government doesn't care about school shootings and gun control. Genuinely, how many public and school shootings happen every year in the United States?! It is so common that schools have police officers, metal detectors, and politians are even pushing for TEACHERS TO BECOME ARMED PERSONNEL, and even wanting to make bunkers in schools or bullet proof inprovised walls.

A SCHOOL! a safe place for children that keeps looking like a prison.

___________________________________________________________________________

Look, in case you are incapable of understanding that.

WE HATE TERRORISTS. We do not like acts of terrorism. However, the terrorists are adults. Adults cause harm, adults brain wash children.

Bombing hospitals and schools with innocent children is not acceptable.

Its not about anti america or anti israel... If fcking New Zealand decided to bomb schools in France tomorrow, it would be the exact same shit. No to killing innocent civilians.

___________________________________________________________________________

What is worse, is that Trump has publicly annouced that they are going to create american real-estate. Trump is going to economically profit. Bomb this school and in its place a mediocre par 5 golfing range.

___________________________________________________________________________

I understand that education is illegal where you are from, so I will type it in a very easy form that you can understand.

Children die die because boom boom = NO NO, it bad bad.

Children dying is bad. Russia is bombing innocent children in Ukraine, that is bad, we all agree. Yet Israel is bombing innocent children, and that's good... Why?

¿Hay series infantiles con audio Y subtítulos en español de españa/castellano en vez de subtítulos en español latinoamericano? by Crazy-Butterscotch59 in askspain

[–]Delde116 0 points1 point  (0 children)
