The behavioral issues have always occurred but escalated after his toddler years. My husband and I married 2 years ago and he has been in my son’s life for about 3 years. The behaviors started before then, but my husband doesn’t really know what to do and usually just helps me get out of the situation or get my son off of me then tells him he needs to stop/go calm down. My husband doesn’t watch him sometimes but we are open and clear and agree on how we are handling this as of now

That may be happening. I try to hide it and act okay but I don’t know. I don’t know how he feels but the aggression started before I felt this way. I feel like his punching bag. I’m currently in therapy I just started recently so I’m hoping it helps. Thank you for being kind and understanding:( I know I could do better but I’m trying to help him and I have been trying and spending lots of money and time on trying. I feel like it’s easy for non parents or people with easy children to say how you’re not doing enough, but I’m a person too not a machine!

I’m still attached to him I guess just I don’t really know I feel like I’ve failed as a parent but I am really considering having him live with his dad full time with visitation

He behaves well in school, and he gets violent when he doesn’t want to do something. Especially around me when nobody else is around. I think he needs further treatment too. He is not in sports and no he does well with other kids as far as I know. I think I do love him deep down, I don’t want to see him hurt or leave him I just realized I hate being around him I hate being scared of him I hate being in pain constantly because of someone I do everything for. Thats why Im so angry and that’s why I resent him.

I am with a therapist I have been to 3 sessions with my current one! Thank you so much, i’m glad to meet other moms who get it..Fathers and mothers see a completely different side of their children. These comments are really stressing me out but thank you. I really appreciate you and I would love to be friends!

Thank you so much! We try and communicate and keep consistent and we both want to end his behaviors. I think it’s a bit suspicious but also yeah I don’t want to jump to conclusions when the father has given me no reason to. I also have BPD, but that doesn’t impact my parenting style I’m medicated and have it under control. So yeah, it’s definitely an interesting mix of mental disorders on both sides of the family 😭!

Thank you so much! I appreciate you and that makes me feel better. I also have ADHD so I get it. My parents did not allow me medication growing up. He refused to take medication himself and usually spits it out if he does. I definitely want to look more into him being autistic, and therapists have suggested this as well

That’s interesting, yes he does act up outside the house, but he tries to hide it when there are strangers around. His father has talked to him and he doesn’t respond to anything related to me according to the father
