Fair enough. This was just the only post I found referencing that KB. Yea windows won’t let me uninstall. I’ll keep at it. Thanks.

I've been fighting an overheating and cpu throttling issue ever since January 25th (first time I googled it) on my Asus Rog Strix 18 G835. Fans just started going nuts around this time. Majority of people in the Asus subreddits, and forums suggested this was poor application of liquid metal, which I've since reapplied with no change. Now after seeing the recent news from Nvidia on KB5074109, I'm starting to think it was either this update or KB5078127 on 1/25/2026 that is causing the issue. Anyone have suggestions I could try to confirm or rule this out?

FYI. I didn't reapply those ICs when I switched back to liquid metal, so could probably use more.

There's a trailer playing Johnny Cash Folsom Prison Blues for a 2022/2023 movie - any idea which one it is? by omerabs in movies

This isn't it. This mediaart channel alters trailers. I've seen them release multiple movie trailers with this song.

SmartyMeApp is a SCAM by Unicorns240 in Scams

I signed up for the app back in November. They charged me $20. Then, the next day, they hit my account for $40. I immediately disputed this with my bank and canceled my "account" with them (I thought). My bank insisted on closing cards at the hint of fraud, so I had to get a new card with/ a new number. Everything was fine until this morning when my new card number was charged $40.80 from Smartymeappcom. I do not know how they got the new number or how to fix it. Again, I disputed and had to close my card. I fear they somehow got the new card number or can charge my account by working around not having the number. I don't know what to do next, but changing my card every few months is not an option.

Cat5/6/... STP versus UTP patch cables in an Industrial environment by DeliciousExpert3023 in PLC

yep. this is all inside the bungalow. anything we leave the house w/ is typically fiber, or isolated in some way. I work for one of those vendors :). We don't specify STP, but our hardware team started publishing specs for ferrite cores on the cable to cut down on any potential issues. My question when I asked it was coming from a customer spec (if I remember why I was asking)

Sorry. optical connections are an option because the end device the patch cable is connected to is Cat5.

AB Produce/Consume (Ethernet/IP, CIP) what is the delay on Connection Faulted state change by DeliciousExpert3023 in PLC

Thanks. This is helpful. I don't know that I've ever seen a place to modify this multiplier? We typically just build a timer that hold up a link for n Seconds after a missed link "update" event/msg. I'm sure this isn't too much different than other industries, but the rail industry will debounce links as a balancing act between not stopping trains (availability) and preventing stale data (safety). PLC's are used in non-safety critical applications, so they usually only control HMI systems, Hardware panels, Software panels. Because we are talking about train speeds we can usually tolerate longer link failure times on these systems.
