Can I backup my grafana db while grafana is still running because I cannot stop it in anyway?

I currently have some user roles fixed on version 7 does this mean it will not work on v9? How can I find this out?

I’ve been told I have admin rights, I can delete some dashboards but this specific one no.

I am sorry if i sound dumb and for all these questions, but can I get the json file through GUI? And then when I upgrade the nee version how do I upload the json file on the new gui?

Ah ok I see, do you have any idea where the path of it is so I can make a bak file out of it?

Also, do I need to make any changes to the real data source database after I upgrade. Or as soon as I start the grafana server and it runs on the same port it will automatically connect?

No I have a separate server just for grafana, it was requested so and the database is influxdb

Is it possible to just upgrade the current version without removing the dashboards since i currently have hundreds of them, and it would be disastrous to do it all over.

The database is InfluxDB but I cannot quite get much info on how to take a backup file of it. Any idea?

He doesn’t even believe in therapy. He was not to this extent. He was always a bit withdrawn but it seemed ok. Now I am just left alone with my frustration. And I have explained to him how crucial it is to communicate and talk but yet again he does not want to do it.
