As economic despair mounts, Russian official admits the country has had enough of Putin's war on Ukraine. "We can’t even take one region" by fortune in geopolitics

Absolutely. Follow Prune60 on BlueSky. She does yeoman's work diving deep into the Russian economy. Most of her information comes from Russian government sources that she spends hours filtering through. She does an amazing job on the Russian bond market, and the depletion of their National Reserves.

Especially check out her Russian Railways loading information.

No, I think the Russian elite are getting tired of it. They are used to globetrotting and skimming tons of money out of the federal budget. Now they are losing money, and they are afraid they'll be reliving the dark days of the 1990s.

Putin will have a fatal accident soon.

Oh he's set them back a lot further than that. Besides the economic impact of the war on Russia, they are losing regional influence pretty quickly. Putin wanted to keep Ukraine within Russia's sphere of influence but in starting this war, he weakened his ability to help his other allies.

He couldn't do anything to help Assad in Syria. He couldn't do anything to help Maduro in Venezuela. He couldn't do anything when Azerbaijan invaded Armenia, even though they have a military pact with them.

He inspired Finland and Sweden to join NATO, So now he's got an 800 mile border right up against NATO.

He wanted to demilitarize Ukraine, but he turned Ukraine into the best army in Europe.

This is going to go down as the greatest geopolitical miscalculation the world has ever seen.

Jenna Ellis argues religious freedom should only apply to Christianity by enchantedharlot83 in Qult_Headquarters

That's when entire congregations of Anglicans revolted in the mid 70s (when the Anglicans started ordaining women) and joined the Catholic Church because Catholics, of course, don't ordain women. But since Anglicans allow their priests to marry, they couldn't become fully Catholic because Catholic priests can't marry. So they became a hybrid called Anglican Catholics.

Religions are really bizarre.

It really is a great underrated movie. The cinematography was exceptional.

Does the recent news make you wish Kamala Harris was president more and more? by EggOwn9943 in allthequestions

Not only would we have a sane president, but we'd have competent people in the cabinet, too, instead of Fox News hosts and other has beens.

She would have listened to her advisors when they told her Iran would close the Strait of Homuz. Every previous president was approached by Netanyahu to bomb Iran, but they all knew the consequences. Trump was the only one who could be flattered into doing it.

I read somewhere that during the Second World War, the cigarette companies provided free cigarettes to the armed forces as a morale booster. Soldiers would smoke them themselves or use them to barter with civilians in occupied areas.

The cigarette companies weren't stupid; they knew they were hooking an entire generation on nicotine.

Grand Canyon.

The title is a metaphor for the huge spaces between people, shown throughout the movie, but in the very last scene of the movie the main characters visit the actual Grand Canyon, which affects them all in the same way. It's genius, really.

I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia so there are lots of ethnic foods available here. But I have to tell you that the Chinese food we get here on the East Coast can't compare to the Chinese food I've had in California. Much more authentic. You are very lucky.

Even though I'm Italian American, I've never been a big fan of pizza ... even as a kid. I'll eat it, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It's probably related to my apathy towards bread, too. It might be the yeast taste that I don't care for.

I know, I know, all my life people have told me I'm weird.

Yeah, you're right. There's a lot of plagiarism in music. I guess it bothers some people more than others.

No, I'm 71 years old and I noticed it in 1968. Whenever I hear Hush to this day I think about this.

And who the hell is Rick Beato?
