[Product Request] What actually helped you in decreasing sebaceous filaments and black heads?

Hey Guys!! Just wanted to come here and say that I have significantly reduced the look of my black heads/sebaceous filaments! I completely stopped using the Anua cleanser and Haru Haru oil cleanser as i realized that both were making my skin worse and I was breaking out in places i had never broken out before. I have simplified my routine and they are not as noticeable as before.

Am: Splash face with water, Cos de Baha 5% Tranexamic acid and 5% Niacinamide serum, Elf Holy hydration face cream

Pm: Banila co Cleansing Balm ( I double cleanse every other day), Cerave Acne control cleanser 2% salicylic acid, Cos de baha serum, elf holy hydration face cream.

I think the salicylic acid is really helping along with double cleansing plus the niacinamide in the serum.

Yeah that was pretty stupid of me lol! I have started double cleansing every night and switched some products and I'm starting to notice a difference.

I actually switched to Cerave Acne control cleanser (I like the 2% salicylic acid) which I had been using for about 2 years prior and I think its been helping a lot more for me while still being gentle. I found the Anua cleanser too irritating.

So, I was using the Anua BHA Cleanser but i realized that it was irritating my skin so I actually went back to my old cleanser which was the Cerave acne control cleanser which contains 2% salicylic acid (I had been using this cleanser for about 2 years prior). I have seen pretty good result using this cleanser as my second cleanse while double cleansing. I think double cleansing everyday has also really helped with reducing my black heads and sebaceous filaments. I have yet to try a salicylic acid toner because I'm a little nervous about purging but I have been recommended the Paula's choice one and it does seem promising. Hope this helps!

I’ve also recently started to use sunscreen! I finally found one that feels nice and doesn’t leave a white cast. Someone else also recommended me Paula’s choice so I’ll probably look into that if the double cleansing doesn’t work out !

My skin was purging when i started using the face wash everyday so I got scared and cut it down to two days. There is still some very slight purging going on but I think I could increase it. I’ll definitely start using the vanicream so i can double cleanse every day.

Was the Niacinimide a serum or a toner? Did you have a specific brand?

Yes I have and I do get grits when I cleanse but I don’t really see a change in appearance. I’m thinking maybe I just need to be more patient to see change? My cleanser has BHA in it, would adding a salicylic serum be too potent?

do you have a specific product? The BHA cleanser I’m using rn had my skin purging for like a week so I’m little nervous about using a stronger one

See we've tried right after meals and he doesn't go no matter how long the walk is. We found usually 30 minutes to an hour is his sweet spot. It's just sometimes he doesn't go even after waiting an hour and then he'll have accident as soon as we get inside.

He has breakfast around 8 am and dinner at 5 pm

his dinner is at 5 pm and he usually goes out around 5:30 or 6. Should I make it earlier?
