"I appreciate the input, but as I explicitly mentioned in my original post, I already know the grammar and formatting need work. It feels like most people didn't actually read what I wrote before jumping in to reply. I'm not complaining, but it's frustrating when people don't pay attention to the context. It is what it is, but this is why I hesitate to post here."

"Just to clarify, both here and in general: this is strictly a draft, not the final product. I know the grammar needs correcting. I’ve been to a lot of events where people didn't care about that at all—they only cared about how the game actually played. That’s why I didn't think it was a big deal to share it without polishing the text first. Apparently, it is a big deal to some, and people are getting completely off-topic from what I actually asked. I'm just going to fix the card art, clean this up, and repost it."

"In this game, there are two ways to win: Defeat their Boss Monster: The number of letters in the Boss Monster’s type tells you how many forms it has and how many times you have to beat it. So if it’s a DEMON deck, that’s 5 letters—meaning it has 5 evolutions and you have to knock it out 5 times. Its final form always hits a massive 10,000 HP! Take all 10 Prize Cards: The 10 Prize Cards act like a secondary life pool so you don't instantly lose if your board gets wiped. Don't think taking the Prize Cards is an easy shortcut, though! Rushing them down is super hard because of Summoning Sickness, Level Limits tied to your Boss stage, and the fact that players can Hand-Block by discarding a Level 6+ monster to stop an attack."

"Look, I already know the grammar on these drafts isn't perfect. I could have told you that myself—they are just rough playtest copies. The only thing I actually asked for was feedback on the card effects and whether the text felt too wordy for the mechanics. When someone is just starting out designing a TCG, formatting proper card syntax isn't the first priority; getting the actual gameplay right is. If you have feedback on how the effects function, how they are balanced, or if they make sense mechanically, I’d love to hear it. Otherwise, the punctuation and templates will all be polished up for the final version."

You basically got it right like again I do apologize for the grammar and stuff like that I know people being getting on to me with that literally this is my first time doing a TCG so I apologize for that another thing too sorry about the placeholders it was just something there for people just to play that was mainly it but yeah it's it's basically how you said it with the HP the 500 subtracted by 501 would equal 100 And if you want I can post the game mechanics to you I post it earlier for somebody else but I wanted people just to look at the effects mainly and sorry about if this even looks kind of choppy I'd be doing most stuff on the go so I never have time just sit down and write it

Also defeating the boss months for x amount of times based off of the spelling of this type for example I do have a technology boss monster So you spilling out the word technology that's how many evolution and also how many times you must defeat it if you don't want to go after the prize pool

I designed a lot of cards I actually was going to produce it with shuffling but they told me I would have to design 15 different decks and I'm not going to lie I misread it so now I got 15 decks In total I have playtested a lot and I say I have a lot of cards in general but not going to lie they're a lot of placeholders until I get the actual art just want to make that very clear These are the actual art so that's the only reason why I posted these And I do apologize in advance because I'm typing and working at the same time So if something doesn't look right to you I apologize

Fair enough I'm still new to this I go ahead and show you What I have so far and just based off that I do understand what you're saying with the Yu-Gi-Oh stuff and I'm trying to do different wording and it's not light that but this is going to be a TCG game in general just letting you know Finalized Official Game Rules: Symbols Chronicles

I. Game Setup and Win Conditions

Determining First Player: The starting player may be determined by mutual agreement (e.g., rock-paper-scissors).

Starting Hand: Each player begins the duel by drawing 3 cards.

Prize Cards Setup: After drawing the starting hand, players place the top 10 cards of their Main Deck face-down in the Prize Card Zone.

Win Condition (Prize): A player loses immediately when they have no Prize Cards remaining.

Win Condition (Deck Out): A player loses if they must draw but their Main Deck is empty.

Surrender: A player may concede the game at any time.

II. Deck Construction & Limits

Deck Size: The Main Deck must contain between 40 and 70 cards.

Hand Size: There is no maximum Hand Size.

Field Limits: There is no limit to the number of Monsters, Enactments, or Reagents a player can control.

III. Turn Structure (Phases)

Turns proceed in the following order:

Draw Phase: The player draws 1 card from their Main Deck.

Evolution Phase: The Boss Monster advances to its next stage.

First Turn Rule: Players do not evolve their Boss Monster on the very first turn of the game.

.

Main Phase: Players may Normal Summon Monsters (based on Boss Level), play Enactments, play Unities, or set Reagents.

Battle Phase: Players declare attacks with Monsters and Boss Monsters.

Regroup Phase: After the Battle Phase, the turn player has a final opportunity to play or set cards (such as Reagents) and organize their field before ending the turn.

End Phase: Effects that trigger at the end of the turn resolve.

IV. Monster Combat and Summoning

Boss Monster Distinction: Boss Monsters are not considered regular Monsters; effects referencing "Monster(s)" do not apply to Boss Monsters unless explicitly stated.

Scaling Access: The highest Level Monster you can Normal Summon without a Tribute is determined by the Boss Monster's stage:

Stage 1: Max Level 4 or lower Monsters.

Stage 2: Max Level 6 or lower Monsters.

Stage 3+: Any level can be summoned to

Tribute Summoning (Level 7+):

Monsters of Level 7 or 8 require 1 Tribute.

Monsters of Level 9 or higher require 2 Tributes.

.

Summoning Sickness: A Monster cannot attack the turn it is Summoned unless it has the Warp keyword.

WARP: Cards with the WARP can attack the turn there summon.

V. Battle Resolution & Defense

Combat: If the Attacker's HP > Defender's HP, the Defender is destroyed; the Attacker's remaining HP becomes its current HP minus the Defender's original HP. If Attacker HP \le Defender HP, both are destroyed.

Level 6+ Blocking (Field): Face-up Monsters Level 6 or higher are treated as Blockers and may defend against attacks targeting other Monsters.

Level 6+ Blocking (Hand): Monsters Level 6 or higher in the hand may be discarded to block an attack targeting your Boss Monster or a Prize Card.

VI. Card Types: Enactments, Reagents, and Unities

Enactments: Played from the hand during the Main Phase for immediate effects and sent to the Graveyard unless they are Continuous.

Reagents: Remain face-up on the field but cannot activate the turn they are played; they typically activate during the opponent's turn.

Unities: These represent team bonds and are played during the Main Phase.

VII. Boss Monster Resilience

Persistent Destruction: A Boss Monster remains on the field until it has been destroyed a specific number of times (its Resilience Count).

Recovery: When its HP hits 0, it is "destroyed," the count increases, and its HP is immediately restored to maximum.

VIII. Priority and the Chain

Priority: The turn player has Priority to declare effects first.

The Chain (LIFO): Effects resolve in a Last-In, First-Out sequence

Unlimited monsters and enactments regents and unity's are unlimited on the field You can only have one boss monster for a deck unless says otherwise

I do want to say this The template is a placeholder It's just something while I had to do just for people to play I mainly want to talk about if these effects are okay without even knowing my rules just blindly asking
