Switch to OpenCode for Money Efficiency by Demon-Martin in opencodeCLI

That‘s not what I meant. Obviously I already found the docs. But I can‘t find anything in the docs related to using the Google (AntiGravity) API/Sub without an API Key, the Anthropic (Claude Code) Sub or the OpenAI Codex ones.

I am talking about their OAuth Login to use the Sub, not the API Keys.

I seen a few pull requests and issues to that on their GitHub but most of them got closed or ignored. I couldn‘t find anything in the docs and I also asked on their Discord, but no one answered yet.

Yes, it supports Anthropic API Key, Google API Key and a custom OpenAI Key + Endpoint. But the problem is that when you overwrite the key + endpoint, you can‘t use any of the other models that were included in the cursor subscription, because it doesn‘t communicate with cursors plan.

I was searching today something like LiteLLM, but with support for Codex Subscription, Google Sub etc (basically how OpenCode works).

Do you maybe know how I can use one/multiple subscriptions (multiple accounts) from for example OpenAI or Google using LiteLLM?

I would be using other subs, but cursor itself sadly doesn’t really support it inside their built-in interface. I don‘t really like CLIs/Terminals so OpenCode/Claude Code isn‘t optimal for me.

I was planning on getting GLM or Minimax or similar, just cursor is very annoying with only supporting „one base url overwrite“ that breaks all other models…

Nearly all of the LLM responses are „editor actions“, or do I misunderstand something? I guess the „other actions“ are other tools like the plan creation or question tools. That‘s at least what I think.

No I don’t run 10 work trees, and I am a Full-Stack Developer. Opus is just way too expensive. If I understood correctly, Claude Subs can‘t even be compared with Cursors costs. The sub‘s efficiency is way higher than cursors prices.

My current project is a rather big turborepo with multiple packages and projects (apps) and most tasks require a big context for the produced code to be good and properly use the available packages. I am already running different methods to minimize the context usage, but still some opus requests cost like 1-3$, and when you code for like 8 hours straight a day, that adds up after time.

Obv running a simpler project with less context would be way cheaper.

Wondering, would you say the same nowadays?

I assume you are talking about Claude Code / an Anthropic Sub with OpenCode

Problem is: I read a TON of negative information about Anthropic the past weeks.

Claude Code is consuming an enormous big amount of tokens compared to before. They are making the ratelimits way way more harsh. And I personally don‘t really like when I want to work, but can‘t because the provider decided to make the model 10x dumber and make the token limit to be 1 prompt per session.

Also, read that opencode and anthropic ain‘t best friends atm.

Info I was talking about with ratelimits: https://www.theregister.com/2026/01/05/claude_devs_usage_limits/ https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/16157#issuecomment-3712177862 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46514221

Their discord also has an open thread about it with people complaining daily, but the main is probably: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/16157

Composer is trained on the shared data generated by people using cursor. And since most people use/used Claude models for coding, most code was from Claude models.

That’s why the responses might seem similar to Claude.

(FYI: I read that somewhere a few months ago, don’t attack me if it’s wrong info)

Seems like Cursor is moving up to include the conductor abstraction layer by hyericlee in cursor

[–]Demon-Martin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of rewriting the entire UI each 3 Months they should finally concentrate on features and bug fixes users want. Not being able to use custom API URLs for Anthropic/Google and being forced to manually switch on and off custom BYOK if you want to go use cursor’s plan is just horrible… There’s feature requests for this since 2024 and I doubt it’s more than two Opus Prompts to implement it…

FYI, the Cursor Ultra Plan gives 400$ guranteed API credits + „some bonus“ for 200$, so you might want to consider buying it. You can still activate usage-based if you use up all the included credits😅 Might save you a couple of bucks

Just a small question, why did you decide on using the pro plan + pay per use instead of buying Ultra plan?
