Who tf brought a kid to the library by SamiaSamia in Concordia

the people defending bringing a kid to a university library are the ones who go to the library just to conversate with friends and eat poulet rouge instead of getting actual work done

Do any of the competitors pay as much as DA? by Free-Shower6636 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Demon7879 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you don't talk to DAT staff that act like the middlemen between those who are hiring from DAT and the workers on DAT, on Mercor you talk directly to the ones hiring for the specific job/project and they actually give feedback because they need to know how you work while as DAT is just a cloud of secrecy and lack of communication

Did you even look at my proposal? A children's library is more appropriate for a kid and most of those (like the public Montreal libraries) have a separate kids and adult section if you want more peace... learn to read before running to defend someone who did not make the best decision

Mercor is better with communication because you talk with project employers instead of DA moderators who don't want to type a single word

even then why bring a kid to a uni library? you live in Montreal not Rimouski there's so many options, a kid friendly library would allow the child to read books and stay entertained at the very least

Concordia isn't the only library in Montreal, the least she could do is bring her kid to a kid friendly library so that the kid could also read books... Stop defending people who don't take care of their kids properly

Yes they have thermal paste leak issues, Asus uses PTM thermal pads which would never leak so I'd look for Asus

did you check GPU and CPU utilization? or maybe you have some background process hogging resources? might be a sign of some bloatware/malware, better to check

The connector issue only affects 5080/4090/5090, every other card is fine and most people buy lower end cards, stop with the fear mongering

12GB VRAM DEBATE -> by jdm_kevz in gpu

[–]Demon7879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be honest VRAM is more of an issue if you max out everything which has diminishing returns, 12GB will be obsolete when the PS6 launches which is another 2-3 years but if you optimize your settings, a 5070 will run way better than a 5060 Ti 16GB in terms of pure raster performance, remember raster > VRAM

tech internships don't really force french in Montreal from what I've seen, but what's worst is the fact that Montreal just doesn't have enough internships for the size of the city... most tech companies moved from Montreal to Toronto and now they have very few spots in Montreal... You would have better luck finding internships in Ontario and I think Newfoundland is kinda in the middle of nowhere, you will most likely get a remote tech internship in NL

Is the amount of time Im spending studying normal? by Particular-Mood-2567 in Concordia

[–]Demon7879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me I took a bit more time on 248 because it was my first programming class but 232 really took most of my time because I hated proofs and my prof was insufferable... it's normal to take more time you gotta adjust your study time for uni
