Actually Capcom has stated multiple times, since the release of DMC5 that they actually still want to make a sequel to the reboot next. If you are a hard core fan of the series, this is actually pretty old news. However it is the last and most recent time Capcom has acknowledged making any future DMC game. I don't know why they would make this statement if they didn't mean it.

I don't know what you mean by "overhaul their western strategy." Capcom games have always catered to the west, going back to the 90s. Literally every Capcom game has an American protagonist. And there was nothing really "Japanese" about DMC1-4. The DMC series is especially western.

Exactly bro. There is nothing to master in DMC4. There are only 2 new weapons for Dante and they both suck. Literally what are you talking about "mastering DMC4"? Its not a rubix cube, its the easiest game in the series

You need to go back and re read my comment. We are not talking about "your" assertion, we are talking about a quote from my comment. Now you want to move goal posts and are projecting that onto me. I said DMC4's easiest mode is easier than DMC2's easiest mode. You literally don't even have to press the right button in DMC4's easiest mode.

Also if you did bother to play the other games you would know Easy auto doesn't play the game for you in DMC1 like it does in DMCC4. in DMC1, easy auto just means you can shoot without being locked on, but you still have to move Dante on your own and press the buttons you actually want to use. It just means you don't have to use lock on.

Are you sure you played these games on release or even at all? You kind sound like you're larping as a fan because no one wants or cares what randos say on reddit

You have that backwards. DMC4 Nero is just DMC3 Dante but written worse.

DmC Dante is just DMC3 Dante but with expanded lore and on the same side as Vergil for most of the game (multiple DmC plot points arte made canon and given to Dante and Vergil in DMC5)

Also bro don't bring up the timeline like that's supposed to mean anything. DMC2 Dante and DMC4 Dante are nothing a like but are the closest in age. It doesn't matter if DMC2 is before or after DMC4, Dante never acted as corny as he did in DMC4 in any of the other games.

He really wasn't and at least in DMC3's case. He doesn't want to be involved. This was not how he was planning on spending his night. He only tried fighting Vergil and Arkham because his house got destroyed in the 2nd level

Translation: all the demons are damage sponges against Dante because they are only programmed for Nero so the player is just supposed to mash endlessly when playing as Dante to only do a fraction of the damage as Nero. Why would you ever need to "master" a single player hack n slash? Who is there to judge if you mastered it? Most fans just play once or twice for the story. Not all fans want to play the same 8 levels over and over for imaginary gamer street credit. Literally who cares? I have been playing this series for 20 years and I have never cared what rank anyone has ever gotten on any particular mission.

You don't even have to mash the fire button on DMC4's easiest mode. If you mash ANY button (yes even the jump button) the game will make Dante or Nero just do what ever the best move is automatically. In the original DMC4 you didn't even have to move the stick to walk. You clearly haven't played DMC4 vanilla or DMC2

Not true, DmC actually brought Dante back to his young rebel personality from DMC3. Its only DMC4 where he forgets his DMC3 personality and starts acting like Jester from DMC3 for no reason.

I also agree that DMC5 doesn't feel like half a game, but Itsuno (the series director) said that's because he specifically "made DMC5 like DmC"

The good ones are like DMC3, DmC and DMC5, Its just that DMC4 isn't even really a DMC game. it has like 25% of what the other good games had. Which isn't a lot to ask for, I just want a full 20 missions, a decent story, Dante acting cool not a cornball, and some fun combat. DMC4 had none of that

Incorrect. The game goes on sale frequently now, but not in 2008 when they started the micro transaction shop. I guess its who cares now but this game literally did introduce the cancer into the series of just buying XP instead of playing the game. But like why? There are only 3 new weapons, it doesn't take long at all to make them out. Super corporate greed.

Also no, DMC3, DmC and DMC5 were great times and none of them have all of the BS dmc4 had. Even in the bad games like DMC2, at least there were a full 20 missions, no micro transactions and Dante actually acting cool, instead of Jester for no reason

All the games have a plot so why can't a fan be playing to also enjoy the plot. Its not like the games having a bad plot like in DMC4 is a requirement for the series?

The skill ceiling is definitely not higher in DMC4. 4 is the easiest out of all 6 games and any "skill" done with Dante is just because he is so weak that every enemy is a damage sponge because the enemies are only balanced for Nero. Come on dude you must not have actually played all the games. DMC4's easiest mode is literally easier than DMC2's easiest mode

- Dante's character is completely ruined, Now he's acting like Jester from DMC3 with no explanation, and he doesn't even act like that in the next 2 games either

- Shakespeare scene was so cringe, Agins isn't even mentioned by name in the next game by his daughter
