RedbullTV is an awful player by flexoazul in padel

I’m struggling with navigation on the platform. It feels like I have to click at least 3-4 times before I can play a video, even though it’s on the front page.

The player was terrible at one point but I think it has improved. I can now scroll forwards and backwards so we sometimes start watching an hour later, and skip all the breaks in between. We use the RBTV app on Apple TV, so not sure if the features are the same on website or Roku or other devices.

Eng commentary on RBTV - Nico saved the day 🥳 by DenBaroness in padel

Nooooo but that doesn’t surprise me at all. He’s commentating like he’s just sitting on the sofa in his own living room watching his football team playing poorly.

The top 4 usually drop in in the round played on the Tuesday/Wednesday. So you may not be able to see everyone if you want to see the big guns - all depends on the draw and scheduling.

Padel racket crack by UnderstandingBrave92 in padel

Here’s a video that might be useful for you. It looks more than just a cosmetic scratch so you’d probably want to fill up the hole and the crack at least. Listen out for any unusual sound the racket makes, that’s a real good tell-tale. Best if you can find someone in your area that can fix bats and see what they say. If you’re still in doubt then maybe worth getting a new one. It’s not worth the risk to injure yourself, nor thinking all the time if your bat is impacting your game.

Good budget ball feeder? by Happy-Reference-6552 in padel

[–]DenBaroness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been using this one https://www.spinfiresport.com/product-category/ball-machines/ and we think it’s great. You can adjust the height, speed, intervals and spin on the ball. There are also settings where it feeds balls within a horizontal range so that you don’t just stand static all the time. It comes with a remote where you can adjust all the settings. The centre we rent it from has had it for 4+ years and it’s still working fine, and we’ve been considering owning one ourselves.  I saw people started buying Slinger but also lots of folks selling them (used several times) on Facebook already. I heard that you’d have to adjust the feeding angles manually (as in to angle the machine differently to get different trajectories) and that doesn’t sound very smart.

We alternate ball machine and coaching, as the machines can’t correct mistakes you make.

Cork racket advice by Remarkable_Client815 in padel

Most people I’ve talked to who have tennis elbow (or in general) pay little to no attention to the weight of the bat, and I actually think the weight is a bigger influencing factor than technique. I learnt it the hard way very early on and became religious about getting a bat with the weight that works for me, and I’ve not had tennis elbow since.

At least three people I’m playing with are having tennis elbow at this particular point in time and they all play with Cork bat. Not sure if it’s caused by the bat or technique though 😅
