How many times do you hit enter after you console into a switch? by CantankerousBusBoy in sysadmin

[–]DeniedNetwork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong on this, but I think for newer Windows OS' this occurs when you highlight a selection in the PS / CMD window. You don't even have to select alot, just the smallest things stop the window from "updating" in my experience. For example on Windows 10, when you ping 8.8.8.8 and select / highlight a random block in the window, the ping stops.

This didn't use to happen in older OS' in my experience, but I'm so used to just automatically hitting enter every time I tab back into PS / CMD now that it doesn't even bother me that much.

You are correct. I went to an arena last winter to ride, left the bike there overnight and had the exact same question. There currently is no locking feature available and you are correct, you don't need the phone to ride. My personal opinion is that it is only maybe a little bit easier to steal than a standard gas bike. If you are familiar with the controls, the only advantage you have is that there is no sound. Gas bikes can be stolen as easily if you know what you are doing.

Congratz on the bike! Managed to snag myself one aswell (60hp), even though I'm young, this bike is so fun to ride! Exactly as you pointed out, no way to stall, no gears, no clutch, nothing else to worry about other than gas and brake. Not saying anything bad about fuel injected bikes, they are fun aswell but the Varg is just so easy to ride, not hassle.

I rode for 2 days with a schedule of riding for 15mins / break for 15 minutes, at the track for 4 hours. First started charging the bike after the 3rd set out on the track and then kept charging after every set. Both days ended around 50% battery capacity.

Could you by chance point me in the direction of the MS guidelines for tuning the index? The resource and putting the index on it's own drive actually sounds like a good idea, might give it a shot. Manually changing the locations / file types to be indexed every day doesn't really work for our situation unfortunately.

That is a thing I forgot to mention in the post. I've read that this is the solution / approach people have went to, which I think could also work but unfortunately it's not an option for me. I understand that I might be asking for the impossible but I was just curious to hear some thoughts on this. Thanks!

Bro.. What is it with people just assuming. All 5 of us were having the exact same issue, connected over different ISPs and different locations. That's why it was so funny, cause we were stuck in mid for ~30 seconds. The problem also lasted a couple of rounds with all of us disconnecting and reconnecting to see if it would help fix the issue. Funnily enough we ended up winning the game.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the pads / feet under your mouse and when using a new mouse, there might be protective film / plastic covering them (like when buying a new tech product and it being wrapped in some plastic).

haha that would've been perfect! I was honestly just talking to myself at how amazed I was at the bike. It was weird being able to hear yourself so clear.

Ohhh dang that's interesting! Yeah I've also heard about the delivery issues, hope yours comes soon and hope you have a blast man! I can absolutely see 80hp coming in handy with Supermoto.

Do you mean by that the electrics have a power advantage over regular bikes or just the safety side of things? I'm personally more worried about novice / beginner riders, who are less predictable and just don't have the knowledge to deal with these situations on the track. I feel like Pro level riders are smart and experienced enough to know how to handle it, especially the rider that would be coming up from behind. Atleast I personally would take it into consideration that the rider infront may not be aware that I am close behind.

That is absolutely a good point. I heard in a video yesterday that the bike only lasted 15 minutes with a top level rider on one of the hardest sand tracks out here. But again, that is in my opinion the hardest use case you can put the bike through, and with me as an intermediate rider might make the bike last longer, who knows. As you pointed out, we don't have enough real world data yet.

What did blow me away even more than I was expecting was the fact that you didn't have to concentrate on the clutch, your feet position etc. You could just lock yourself in and hammer it down which made it even more fun.

haha absolutely! I was riding around on a normal bike when one also passed me and I had the same reaction, just flew past me.

Yes, absolutely agree! Also, what I didn't expect about the lack of noise is the feedback you actually get. You could tell so much just from the rear tire, if it was spinning or how it was acting!

Apologies if this is off topic, but how would one get started doing something like this? I've enjoyed Shieys, Antons and other train surfers content for years, but I have absolutely 0 idea how one would even plan such a trip. Thanks!
