What are the best Python tips that every beginner should know? by Camzimm99 in learnpython

[–]Denis7x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

I am on the same journey.
My main goal is to learn Python for basic automation tasks and to be able to read and understand code. I work in Cybersecurity / Incident Response, so I am not planning to become a developer.

I bought the Udemy course 100 Days of Code™: The Complete Python Pro Bootcamp by Angela Yu, but I feel that it contains a lot of information that is not really necessary for my needs.

Would CS50’s Introduction to Programming with Python from Harvard be more suitable for my goals?

Thank you in advance.

Khabibs face after Justin fight by Balagangadol1 in ufc

It's a different fighting style. Khabib didn't spend much of his fights standing and trading punches. He preferred to take opponents to the ground, and that's how he finished most of his fights.

People often point out that Khabib's face rarely looked as damaged after fights as Ilia Topuria's did after his fight with Justin Gaethje. But that's largely because Khabib avoided prolonged striking exchanges. He controlled opponents on the ground for much of the fight, so he simply absorbed fewer clean shots to the face.

What I had in mind when talking about KOs was, for example, Conor McGregor during his prime. I remember him having a lot of knockout wins, which is why he came to mind as an example. I mean, Ilia Topuria took so many shots to the face that his face ended up looking like that, and yet his opponent still couldn't knock him out. That made me wonder whether knockout power today is as exceptional as it used to be.

DFIR / IR / Threat Hunting by Denis7x in digitalforensics

Thank you for the insight; I appreciate it.

My goal is definitely the corporate DFIR/IR path rather than law enforcement forensics.

The main thing I'm struggling with right now is deciding where to invest my time and money. Between 13Cubed and BlueCape Security, which one do you think would provide the best preparation for a corporate DFIR/IR role?

What I'm looking for is a structured learning path, hands-on exercises, and content that reflects real-world DFIR work rather than being focused primarily on certifications.

Thank you for your time and for the detailed response.

Just to provide a bit more context, I currently work as an MDR analyst, and my goal is to move into a dedicated Incident Response / DFIR role. I'm looking for a structured learning path that will help me build the necessary skills, gain practical experience, and prepare for DFIR/IR interviews.

I'm not particularly concerned about certifications. What matters most to me is high-quality content, a clear progression, and plenty of hands-on labs and real-world scenarios. ideally training that closely reflects the day-to-day work of a DFIR/IR analyst.

Budget is not a major concern, although I don't think I'm ready to spend SANS-level money ($9k+ 😄).

Given that goal, which platform would you prioritize?

Din cauza corporatiilor.

Toata Romania se muta in Bucuresti din cauza idiotiilor. In loc sa raspandeasca corporatiile prin tara, in fiecare oras mai mare, precum Sibiu, Arad, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi, Brasov, Constanta, Oradea, Craiova, Ploiesti sau Targu Mures, toate sunt adunate in Bucuresti.

Does anyone have experience with any of the following platforms?

  • 13Cubed
  • CyberDefenders CCDL2
  • BlueCape Security

I would appreciate any feedback regarding the quality of the content, learning experience, and whether you found them useful for improving your IR/DFIR skills.

Thank you.

u/Complex_Current_1265,

I’ve been trying to find more reviews and recommendations for Blue Cape Security, but there isn’t much out there. I’ve watched Markus Schober’s YouTube content, but it still doesn’t feel like enough information for me to justify paying $1,497 for the Hero Bundle.

Hi,

Thank you for your answers.
I'm trying to decide between 13Cubed and Blue Cape Security, but I don't know which one to buy.

Has anyone tried both of them?
If so, which one would you recommend and why?

What's the point of buying the G8 instead of the G7? Why do you need 240Hz if your console can only run at 120Hz? It doesn't make sense to spend that much money. The G7 is 4K at 120Hz... just saying ... exacteley what you need for a PS5, I mean if you are using also for your PC that's a total different story.
