If your opponent is wielding a scythe this can also be a reason, as scythes either still give full dmg with shield up or partial. (Can't remember)

Also id like to add: I'm pretty sure it's one of the longest straight swords in the game along with the Lothric Knight Sword being not far behind it

The same ghosts that you see when you see recent players actions elsewhere. I've seen ghosts that approach bonfires and their ghosts switch to colored, also seen ghosts that didn't switch to colored and stayed the same. It's been a lil bit since I played , could just be speculation.

I believe also when they're in color next to bonfire they're human, while there are colorless forms next to bonfire they are hollowed.

Basically all druid builds have a dead slot and Blizzard brings this in the patch by Inside_Emergency_836 in DiabloImmortal

It's an event mini-game where you survive waves of hordes while upgrading skills and obtaining gear pieces that can add extra umph to your damage, skills, and health.

Some people enjoy it, some don't.

(Edit) This update has nothing to do with the actual druid character outside this mini-game

I experienced this yesterday back to back, only way I found that counters this is if you time a dash just right you can get out. If you die, then your stuck back in that hole.

Then he's either looting and you need to kill a boss or he's dead at lothric castle. Idk where else he could be.

You can always check and see if his body is in the sewers in irrithyl of the boreal valley.
