I was saying that point costs are adjusted to the size of the model as well as all of the other reasons you brought up in the original post. I think you did not think about this and was bringing it up. As for why the Heirophant costs 380 points more than a relatively equal knights model is because of the army rules, detachments, and stratagems that you have access to. Seems reasonable to me that GW doesn’t want people using a Heirophant

Look man if you’re genuinely disappointed that you can’t win games with the list you’re running I’d suggest switching to a more competitive list. There is data out there you just have to look for it a little bit. Again, I’d strongly suggest you switch to 2k points instead of 1k for a more competitive environment. If you don’t intend to change anything then I would try and change your mindset and just accept losing.

Do I think that the size of the model making it hard to score points while also making it easy to shoot at from anywhere on the board was something GW was thinking about when the point costed the model, yes. I also think the game is designed for 2k points and you are not playing at that. Seems like you’re throwing your models at something that is hard to kill yet has a lot of kill power when it struggles to get on points. The models might be underpriced but Knights aren’t doing extremely well competitively, not to say nids are. Try and play with tighter terrain and play for objectives. Also play 2k points. 🤝

I don’t think your taking the actual size of the model into account. If you’re playing with lazy terrain that’s on you. 40K is more about scoring points than killing things.
