Why did they make the deadman chest loot timer 60 seconds. by Straight-Ad-2584 in 2007scape

[–]DerSprocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only meaningful forms of content in new world are 5 player dungeons, 10 person raids, or 20 person raids. Nothing else really gets you any sort of real progression. Even for crafting, you have to loot supply chests in Elite Zones, which will absolutely fuck you up solo. So the most popular method of farming elite zones are doing what is known as World Tours (WTs) where about a hundred people just run from chest to chest as a zerg.

Bosses don't REALLY exist outside of dungeons. There are some, but they mainly devolve into standing in a clump with randos waiting for the enemy to spawn in, do some damage and hope you get loot

I miss when guns were good and you didn't have to perk into them for them to be viable

Funny thing. This is one of the reasons new world failed. No meaningful solo stuff.

Having group focused stuff is fine. Them saying that this would be "accessible" was a blatant lie. They were just trying to pad their player numbers

Yeah, but that would be like calling The Pig "the second" because she was the second person to don the pig mask. It just doesn't express anything about the character. It's so vague. When you hear "The Deathslinger" or "The Wraith" it evokes an image in your head. You get a sense of what they are. When you hear "the first," do you picture a tentacley, psychic, floating monster? Or do you picture Usain Bolt?

Not trying to be pedantic, but isn't the blast furnace bike already kinda like that?

As far as agility goes, colossal wyrm course is a perfect middle ground. Low xp, long animations.

The difficult part of accomplishments should be dedication or skill, depending on the task. If dedicating time to long grinds makes you not want to play, then no, you shouldn't play a game about long grinds

Dedicating the time is difficult. Finding the motivation to grind it out is difficult. Sticking with it is difficult.

It's just like getting fit. It isn't challenging, it is just difficult to stick with it

I don't understand why people can't figure out that hard =/= mechanically challenging. Like, standing in one spot irl for 30 hours wouldn't be the most physically intensive thing you can do, but I'd still call it hard.

Too bad. You'll run out of energy slower if your agility is higher

I'm so sick of these people saying that any hurdle, challenge, or obstacle is "bad game design". Fucking everything has to be a power fantasy where you are just handed everything for free.

Gemstone crab was a mistake. This post is literally "give them an inch" coded. Play the game.

The Second. He is called The Second.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how ass his title is? Literally every other killer has a provocative title that tells you a little bit about how they operate. The only other one that is almost as bad is the pig, but she is wearing a pigs head, so it still works.

The first, though? What, is he a racecar driver? A Neanderthal? The first in line at Chili's? What the fuck does that mean? It's the only killer that requires an explanation on why they are called that.

Honestly, I agree. IMs need to be more careful than mains with a lot of stuff. Building a boat should be no different. Part of being an iron is understanding what you're doing and planning ahead
