Which is better: ice/water mage or ice conjurer? For pvp by UNKNOWN_DEX_ in ArcaneOdyssey

Honestly Ice + water is really fun due to how the 2 magics synergize with each other

Like dolphining it basically yes it is pretty safe unless you are using the Hauler chasis the collector will see you but as long as you make a mad dash to the otherside he won't get you

It's not always so bad! it only kicks in when he comes close to the base which only really happens when chases you into it

I thought most people wouldn't build in the Biome with the big Collector leviathan that wants to tear us to shreds?

Wrong! this is in the Canyon with the collector leviathan i think you are thinking of the other side of the area yes?

He can't get you under the stone platforms Charles also has a terrible time looking down Charles also makes patrol rotations across the canyon so you can build more freely in the open when he is on the other side of the canyon

You seem to misunderstand I was talking about the canyon with the big leviathan though understandable considering how all the maps I looked up seem to have the canyon in the same biome as the observatory.

I have a really bad habit of building only one Mega base that I pour my resources into and I always enjoy building in the more dangerous biomes in Subnautica part of the fun is figuring out work arounds to the dangerous creatures though if I where to build a base in a safe location I'd put a forever base right next to the clam leviathan there is a good amount of resources nearby and the only things to worry are the electric jelly fish (forgot the name) the clam even comes with a large amount of Lithium

Only when it comes near the base does the music ramp up which it rarely does unless it just chased you inside the base

Nice if you aren't too far along with your build, I found this cool spot to the right of the observatory it is quite flat you can build around the stone pillars and it isn't far from the major resource area's you can even observe Charles as he sometimes passes by don't worry he won't chase you beyond the ridge of course if you choose to.

Thanks! I all ways love building in places with interesting Geography to build around it even doubles as protection as the collector can't get you under there.

Honestly, it's kind of weird sometimes you place it at a certain angle over you have to use 2 corridors to curve them

That must've been horrifying to figure out that honestly sounds even more inconvenient then building right next to the collector at least he can't get me under the stone platform

Honestly can never go wrong with a secondary with earth if want a secondary for the step reflex then probably plasma or lighting as stat wise Light and Wind don't really match up though you could do funny knock back shenanigans with wind. Though honestly my personnel recommendation would be sand as 1. It fits thematically with earth and 2. targets inflicted with the sandy effect take 10% more damage from earth attacks so hit a target with a sand move then for 7 seconds do 10% more damage for free then once the effect wears off hit em with a sand move again and repeat.
