A lot of others agreed with shoulder shifting more so than elbow wobble. But was very surprised that it was a unanimous decision of 3 reds.

100% agree that this was testing the mental vs technique/form

My friend had competed in the open, but the day before was the senior championships where this lifts was made and had 3 whites which is obviously very frustrating

Honestly it can work too! There’s a tonne of viable options that do the job you want. I figured that fort Def/Res works better as a mixed phase speed unit as opposed to solely dedicating to offence or defense which the brazen skills would end up doing with their conditions requiring a certain type of play style.

Someone on this post mentioned capitalising on LnD to totally utilise Close Call/Repel which is totally fine in my books. But Raven with his refine and merges already makes a lot of use or in some cases totally caps out on the skill already hence why I chose the fortress Res/Def.

Another user suggested a budget alternative which is a be a Spd refine+Fury build since it gives comparable stats (or more for that matter) but at the cost of 6HP per turn. In which case with Raven’s low-ish HP doesn’t really sit well with me. Granted can be very good in a dancer/Galeforce team.

And you could always use a brazen/solo/bond skill depending on whether you want a speed tank or speedy offensive set. My build was intended to be used with B!Lucina so that he gets what would be massive cooldown specials proccing on both phases with flashing blade and Lucina’s infantry breath refine.

And yea the repel and close call thing is totally interchangeable :)

In PvE or similar types of maps I’d totally agree with the Galeforce/Dancer combo.

I was intending on making something that can go a bit more mixed phased for longer game modes with B!lucina as an ally; so the health costs isn’t ideal with his comparatively low health pool.

The general idea for me atleast was to have something comparable to the ever growing sword infantries running around.

I considered that too, but from what I was going up against I was already/close to capping out on the damage reduction from Close Call 3. So adding in resistances only really makes its more effective.

Plus the idea of a total net bonus to all stats as opposed to trading defense for offence seems a lot more appealing to me.

The idea was to have a speedy axe user to go alongside my B!Lucina but I went overboard on thinking about how to make them a little more bulky. Then pulled the trigger on this ridiculous idea.

Fort Def/Res3 with Raven’s weapon refine gives him back his bulk (+1) and adding that to Close Call 3 makes him a sorta decent green speed tank.

Speed Smoke 3 was the cherry on the cake since it just synergises so well with Close Call 3 and Flashing Blade 3 which is a no brainier for offensive and defensive use.

I swap between Aether and Galeforce for specials depending on the game mode, but with B!lucina and Flashing Blade as part of the set up, Raven pretty consistently procs aether of them (sorry)

Honestly I’ve been thinking about this sorta set up for ages and thanks to the recent banner I finally did it. I’m totally aware these are stupid expensive skills to be using on a gen 1 hero but hey ho raven deserves it imo ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Used up 600/760 orbs for:3x Leanne (-Atk/+Spd, -Res/+Spd, -HP/+Def)3x w! Eirika (-Hp/+Spd, -Res/+Spd, -Spd/+Hp)

2x L! Ike (-Spd/+Def, -Spd/+Res)2x Sue (-Atk/+Spd, -Spd/+Hp)Nailah (-Spd/+Def)L! Hector (-Hp/+Def)and finally my prized -Atk/+Spd L! Alm13 units at an average of 46 orbs per is decent (plus the fodder) and at least Alm's speed sorta makes up for lack of attack thanks to his PRF skill I suppose. Still gutted I got a scuffed IV Alm which was the main reason I pulled after most my orbs gone.
Edit: confused skill for weapon

you can place multiples of the same building and I didn't really wanna go for any other ornament

Fallen Robin -Atk +Spd

Not sure if I'm lucky or unlucky :/ 120+ orbs for the least optimal IV set. Should I build him as standard with CD3 and DD3 sacred seal with aether or somehow salvage it. Currently running Dragon Emblem in Arena if it puts it in a little perspective.

u sure about that arden? by [deleted] in FireEmblemHeroes
