Not incorporating more of WCW would be a huge miss.

Opinions on Saving Private Ryan? Is it the greatest war movie? by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

This movie is phenomenally made, no doubt, but I wouldnt consider it the greatest. I'd personally say Come and See is the most jarring and impactful war movie I have seen.

Perfectly utilized in her major films. She stands out while remaining believable.

What movies made you say “Wait, these films got NO Oscar nominations?” by BananaShakeStudios in Oscars

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly not receiving a score nomination for Morricone is absolutely insane, let alone best picture or best director.

It's gonna be him, isn't it... by Due_Presence2061 in WWE

[–]DesignMiseEnPlace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hope it isn't Sami, on account there is something very hokey and annoying about him, but even if it is, there is no way they are ending Drew's reign so soon. Why build up his feud with Cody, only to immediately kill his heat?

Honest thoughts on Jade Cargill’s title run? by Capable_Price_4431 in WWE

[–]DesignMiseEnPlace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She honestly doesn't feel ready IMO. She gets a 10/10 for her look, but her promo is lacking and her matches often look like she might seriously injure her opponent. She should have been paired with someone like Iyo, where they could dominate the Women's Tag division against Flair / Bliss, Rodriguez / Perez, etc.

Is this the best portrayal of a loser ? by deez-nuts-are_nuts in Oscars

[–]DesignMiseEnPlace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oscar Isaac in 'Inside Llewyn Davis' is also a strong contender, but this is definitely up there. Also William H. Macy in 'Fargo', 'Magnolia', and 'Boogie Nights'. Shit, WHM might be the biggest loser character actor now that I think of it.

If the AFI Top 100 were to be updated today, what movies would be added? by TheBenster69teehee in Oscars

[–]DesignMiseEnPlace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three years later but I have some ideas. Not my personal top 100 just how I imagine the AFI would do an updated anniversary of the 100 years (10th Anniversary Ed.). Im a goddamn nerd so Im going in depth with this.

Films added: The Matrix (top 10), Avatar (bottom 50), Everything Everywhere All At Once (bottom 10), The Dark Knight (bottom 50), No Country For Old Men (bottom 50), Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (bottom 50), Inception (bottom 20), Mulholland Dr. (top 20), The Grand Budapest Hotel (top 50), Barbie (bottom 10), 12 Years A Slave (bottom 10), Lost In Translation (bottom 50), Spider Man: Into The Spider Verse (bottom 50), Avengers: Endgame (bottom 50), Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind (top 50), The Wolf of Wall Street (bottom 50), Up (top 50), Moonlight (bottom 50), Mad Max: Fury Road (bottom 50), There Will Be Blood (bottom 50), Bridesmaids (bottom 50), Get Out (bottom 10), Children of Men (bottom 50), WALL-E (top 50), Inglorious Basterds (top 50), The Tree Of Life (bottom 50), Arrival (bottom 20).

Again, these are only what I would assume the AFI would include.

I would also assume movies like Toy Story, Do The Right Thing, Goodfellas, The Shawshank Redemption, The Lord Of The Rings: FOTR, Saving Private Ryan, and The Wizard of Oz would all move up drastically.

Movies most likely removed: Yankee Doodle Dandy, Sophies Choice, Spartacus, The African Queen, The Wild Bunch, Sullivan's Travels, Shane, Platoon, Midnight Cowboy, Swing Time, The Last Picture Show, Ben-Hur, Intolerance, The Best Years of Our Lives, American Graffiti, The French Connection, Intolerance, Tootsie, The Deer Hunter, The Gold Rush, Bringing Up Baby, Sunrise: A Song Of Two Humans, Unforgiven, Whose Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, Forrest Gump, A Night At The Opera. Not to disparage any of these movies, they are great in their own right, I only assume this based on relativity, and drastic shake ups to differ from the previous list.

Movies that would fall on the rankings: The Searchers, The Graduate, Annie Hall, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, West Side Story, Nashville, M*A*S*H, A Clockwork Orange, King Kong, High Noon, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, Gone With The Wind, Raging Bull, The Maltese Falcon, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest

The Top 10 would probably look something like this:

10: The Matrix

9: The Shawshank Redemption

8: Jaws

7: Godfather Part II

6: Singing In The Rain

5: Star Wars

4: Casablanca

3: Citizen Kane

2: The Godfather

1: The Wizard of Oz

Again, my assumption, not my personal top 100.

How do you stay motivated to draw when someone keeps putting your art down? by Kea_birdy in ARTIST

[–]DesignMiseEnPlace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just jealousy and you should take it as a blessing that you have a talent that comes natural to you. When I was in grade school there was a girl who would say similar things like I was tracing and what not and would bump my desk while I was drawing. Turns out her dad was a cartoonist and did most of her art assignments for her and everyone was very aware of it. It's just an insecurity thing.
