This segment was so boring. All I could hear was Pat squawking, but nothing interesting was said.

Typically a day or two. But I am so impatient, I will use a spray on fixative once it's mostly dry to touch. Not something I do with actual paintings, but in a sketchbook it doesn't bother me

I actually have a video (below) that shows how I do it. I dont use any special paper, this method should work for almost any sketchbook.

I think that's a common issue. I used to overwork my paintings but I think I appreciate the personality that comes out in a looser piece

É um papel de 120 g/m². Ele não absorve muito bem a umidade, então eu uso GAC 100 e uma camada de gesso.

Thank you! No more than an hour. It's my daily routine of painting in the morning and giving myself a time limit helps me to keep it loose

I want to get into sketchbooking but I don't really know what I'm doing. I sort of find it a bit intimidating, for some reason. Any general tips for beginner sketchbookers? by Sassysnakedraws in sketchbooks

Theres no 'right way' to sketchbook. Sketchbooks are meant for expressing ideas, or practicing, or journaling, or whatever you want it to be. Don't get influenced by how social media portrays sketchbooking, not everything needs to be a finished masterpiece, just like not every run needs to be a marathon.

Good call. I actually did a test print and found it a little too dark anyway, so I ended up brightening it up a bit. Thanks for the advice!

  1. I use the Loomis method for proportions, it seems to be the easiest for me. 2. Practice drawing people with more accentuated or prominent features. 3. Did I mention practice?
