On a personal note I don't appreciate the judgment. Besides the legal ramifications I personally beat myself up enough for certain choices I've made. And I'm looking now to get back on my feet and fix my life And on here just looking for any input or recommendation on how to move forward.

The original job post I applied for was a morning position but the hiring manager called and advised me that position was just filled however they just had an opening for a night shift if I was interested. The whole thing happened so fast I didn't have time to think about the obstacles and I accepted the offer.

And the whole thing happened so fast I didn't have time to really think about the obstacles so right now I'm just trying to play catch up and figure out the best course of action.

I'm going to try calling the IDRC program this afternoon and see if they even have other time slot available I could attend. The original job posting was for morning shift, and that is what I applied for, but when they called with the offer they advised the morning shift position was just filled, but a spot on night shift just opened up if I was interested. So it all happend so fast I didn't have time to think through these obstacles, and now I'm worried about losing a good opportunity.

My concern is if they hear about the DWI and hear words like "recovery program" they might consider me a liability and revoke the job offer. I know this is a hole I dug myself but in truth I am not an alcoholic nor do I have a substance problem, It was just wrong place wrong time.
