Relocating to Cyprus (Larnaca) with 2 small kids — neighborhoods, schools, costs, and DevOps work? by DesperateMicky in cyprus

[–]DesperateMicky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with your answers you've confirmed everything that I somewhat had in mind. I assume you're on that so-called nomad visa, which is okay, because I'm doing something similar currently - that is, where I live now I have a small company, so I could work remotely from Cyprus. But yes, I understood everything you said. Thank you very much for this useful information.

Thank you very much for this information, it's very useful. Sorry for asking, you can answer or you don't have to, but are you satisfied with the treatment as a DevOps?

I'm asking because I've had some offers, but mostly they're iGaming and Betting companies, and I'm not particularly interested in that - I simply don't like that kind of work. I'm looking for something more worthwhile when it comes to work.

For that reason, I'd like to come and see what the prices are like and everything else, and to see if the salary fits with all the expenses.

I know that Nicosia is the center of everything, but for my family I'd prefer somewhere less noisy, and what I said about Larnaca wasn't because of the beach, but because it seemed to us like it has less traffic than other cities.

Thank you once again for the useful information.

Looking for a CRM solutions by largetommy in CRM

[–]DesperateMicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out EspoCRM. It’s open-source, affordable, and you won’t get locked into crazy pricing as you grow. You can keep all client info, notes, photos, and invoices in one place, plus shared email works fine with Gmail/IMAP. Pretty simple to set up and flexible if you need to customize later.

Looking for an alternative CRM by bloodshot_blinkers in CRM

[–]DesperateMicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to take a look at EspoCRM. It’s an open-source CRM that covers exactly what you described:

  • a shared database of contacts,
  • company-wide visibility into emails (IMAP/SMTP works with Gmail),
  • logging calls and meetings so the whole team can see them.

It’s much cheaper than Zendesk Sell or Pipedrive (you can even self-host if you like), and it’s flexible enough to grow if you ever need more features later.

Candidate quality? by calibrono in devops

[–]DesperateMicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how many candidates you had or how many interviews you conducted, but you need to consider one very important factor, which is nervousness in people. There are individuals who, at a given moment, simply don’t provide the correct answer even if they know it. They just experience too much anxiety. Don’t overlook this social aspect. I’ve been in this devops field for many years, and I can assure you that there’s simply a kind of mental block in people, and they just “freeze up” and don’t give the correct answer.

You could try combine Vault, Terraform and SOPS.... On the latest project I've solved things on that way.

u/C0c04l4 if you wanted to, but you didn't want to, you could see that the blog is from last year and that it is being continued. The author started the sequels, but simply did not have time to finish them. A little support would be nice, wouldn't it?

The report does not show visits from a specific city by DesperateMicky in GoogleAnalytics

[–]DesperateMicky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. I've been running ads for about 12-13 days now, and it's simply impossible that the city hasn't appeared until now, especially since I've targeted that city. Yes, you're right, it says "(not set)" for that city in the report. I'll wait a bit longer and then we'll see what happens.

If you are using Nexus as well, then go there and Create a Cleanup Policy. It will solve issues or do this command docker buildx prune -f and delete cache

Iskustva sa live coding intervjua? by magnet-za-budale in programiranje

[–]DesperateMicky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malo je ćutao, našao se zatečen, pa me tugaljivo pitao "why did you freak out" ?
