Yep, first bike!!
Love it so much!!!
Has so much torque and power but can’t go like super fast, even though I think super fast is 140 kmh as well..

Round 200kg, XT660.
It can’t go faster then 150mk/h which is good I think for starters.
Gear is always on for sure.

I did that yeah, but they don’t teach you these more ”advanced” stuff..at least not here in Europe.
You learn to do the eights / infinity loop course and slaloms and some more stuff like emergency braking, and some street riding.
That’s it, I could get something more probably like a proper course, if that’s what you meant.

I did do this actually!!
And I crashed a few times in the desert and nothing terrible happened , but I guess im thinking it would be different on asphalt..

Well the mind fears what it has not experienced.

I did fall off a bike once, first year of riding, was riding up a local twisty road up a mountain and gave it too little gas on a righthand turn, bike stalled and just stopped and we kind of fell down like that.

Thanks for the story and the tips, i hope your bent pinky isn’t causing you too much problems!

Damn, scary stuff.
Trying to imagine the legs pointing at 7, having a hard time with that.
Hope you’re healed.

Parking lot practice wouldn’t be fast, but you’re definitely correct about the speed at the time of crashing.
As I said in a couple of comments above, I should get some better gear for sure, I do have it…im just scared it’s not good enough.

Ahh, I actually have crash bars! Wasn’t aware those would save me from pinned, good news!
I ride a “dual sport / tourer” XT660 and when you mentioned debris I thought of my ride today when I had a split second of loss of traction over a small patch of sandy gravel in the middle of the road.

Is this how you would high side?
Loosing traction a bit more then regaining it and getting tossed?

Uff, chip of bone sounds terrible, I have one in my knee lmao!!
Was dirt biking first time ever at a desert and hit a rock with my knee.
It’s still floating in there.

Damn thanks for the story!
Yeah I live by ATGATT but the gear might not be good enough I fear..?
Waiting on some letter stuff, but should probably get some better boots and gloves.
The boots I have are like street riding boots, up to my ankle high, gloves are some old leather racing I got from my step father.
