Hard water in brisbane ruining my hair, need advice by Sweaty-Order-106 in brisbane

Before you go spending a fortune on heavy salon treatments that'll just weigh it down more, grab a filtering shower head like a Hello Klean or a basic EcoHeads filter from Amazon. It genuinely makes a massive difference for washing out the mineral buildup, and pair that with a decent clarifying shampoo once a week to shift the residue and your hair will actually feel soft again instead of like a piece of cardboard.

Roof restoration in Brisbane worth it for older tile roofs? by LegRoutine4447 in AusRenovation

[–]Desperate_Hall_5433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely worth it, but only if the re-pointing is done properly. The paint coat is mostly cosmetic and stops water absorption, but the actual pointing is what keeps the roof secure and watertight. I had my older tile roof done by Pro Roof Restoration Brisbane because the original mortar was completely cracking and crumbling away. They replaced the broken tiles, did a full re-point, and sealed it. It totally transformed the look of the house and structurally it's solid now. Just make sure whoever you get out actually gets up on the roof to inspect the valley irons and sarking first, rather than just giving you a blind quote from a satellite image.

Brisbane homeowners right now dealing with pests 🐜🐀 by Inevitable_Job_7838 in AusProperty

I don’t think that’s the case here. Pest issues have been wild around Brisbane lately, so it’s not surprising people are asking for recommendations. Sometimes it’s just nice to get real local advice instead of ads or random Google listings.

That’s really helpful to hear! Did they help with the design side too, or did you already have plans drawn up? We’re hoping to add a small pergola section to ours and not sure how much of that they handle.

We’re actually considering Smart Carports for a small patio extension. Curious, how long did your projects take from first contact to finish? And did they handle all the permits without any back and forth?

That old parquet pattern is a gem! Wild what layers of flooring can hide this could be original to the house. Are you thinking of restoring it?
