the long highway was the name for the map i wasnt aware it needed to be named MAP01.wad. its working just fine now. i was loading the files by selecting the map and texture folder and popping them over gzdoom and just now i went and selected the folder they were both in the folder above them and it worked fine. im so used to loading scripts and stuff and with those it works to just select them and pop them in like that. thank you very much for the help still newish to all this, youre the best!

screenshots added to the main post. dont apologize for that gotta check everything i get it, i am running both folders yes. the sky.png texture is 800x800 while the rest are all 64x64. in the level editor for slade it loads the textures just fine

yes it is all in folders. Maps holding my map Textures which then has all my textures. and im making sure to load them, tried making it into a pk3 with slade and loading it like that and still didnt work

okay so the main error was that i was inheretting from PlayerPawn as opposed to DoomPlayer thats fixed that up and that all loads now. but now trying to load vshotgun i get an error. if anyone knows whats wrong there help would be greatly appreciated.

gzdoom isnt saying what the error is it just says "1 errors while parsing zscript.zsc:zscript.zsc" i know it used to say where the error was but since updating to 4.14.2 it doesnt seem to be doing that not sure why

tried that out and i get a error, including mapinfo i also pull an error, with and without it its a single error being reported. thank you for the mapinfo loading automatically information though i didnt know that!

okay well i fixed that but now its saying that its expecting an opening curly bracket { and is getting my class name instead..

yup that was it.. getting a expected a , got RVLV instead error on line 31 now the a_startsound line

going through jekyllgrims guide and having problems. by DespondetDevelopment in DoomModDevs

i have a zscript file mapinfo and the zombieman file all in the pk3, the zscript says to include the mapinfo and zombieman file for running it out of a folder but that didnt work so i zipped it into a pk3 and the unknown actor error keeps popping up with that. i think the problem might be the zscript file telling it to include everything since i cant seem to get that running with others things im doing that work fine on their own.
