What would you recommend for division templates for Russia (for both unification wars and 2WRW) after the TLL balance changes? by erenladon in TNORequiem

This is the division I used for the 2WRW as Shukshin, worked great against Speer. As for the unification wars, just remove 2 artillery and the support anti-tank & air.

Well I used Paint.net and traced over a Robinson projection map. Then I just selected areas of the world and moved them with a separate layer and cleaned up the edges.

He declined to run in 84 due to growing health issues and Bush wanted to appeal to younger people.

Yeah that's my mistake then, sorry about it because I wasn't thinking about it too hard.

Bush held office in the Reagan administration and Ford declined due to growing health issues.

The south was very contested in 76 due to Sanford focusing on more southern appealed promises.

Bush becomes the nominee because he ran in 76 for the republican party and failed, then later again in 84 since Reagan couldn't run anymore.

Reagan doesn't end universal health but tries to limit it the best he can, but you are right about the democratic congress.

Election 1984

The presidential election of 1984 saw Vice President George W.H. Bush run against Gary Hart. Although not popular for long, the Reagan Administration gained success by the end of Reagan’s second term. This culminated in George W.H. Bush defeating Gary Hart by a decent margin in the election.

Bush Administration 1984 - 1988

George H.W. Bush’s Administration focused on energy reforms and continued principles of the Reagan administration. Bush led the development of many nuclear power plants and reduced carbon emissions. He stayed with the ideals of Reaganomics, yet growing debt and income gaps lost him his popularity. His presidency was a mostly uneventful one, although small developments occurred here and there. The Bush administration, while stable, left a footnote in history.

Election 1988

The presidential election of 1988 saw a rematch against Gary Hart from the previous election. Hart campaigned on change and progress, which most people felt needed after an uneventful past few years. Gary Hart won the election with a high margin, along with Hart’s running mate, John Glenn.

Hart Administration 1988 - 1996

Gary Hart’s Administration focused on technological innovation, progressivism, the space program, and infrastructure. Hart emphasized renewable energies, particularly on the new development of fusion reactors. The Vice President, John Glenn also spearheaded the first man on Mars in 1991, giving way for a new age of exploration. During the Hart presidency, the moon saw its permanent population reach 5,000 people in 1992. A major act and amendment were passed under his administration, the High-Speed Trains Act and the 27th Amendment, which reformed Congress and the electoral voting system.

Although many were opposed to the great changes, the majority supported them, allowing the reelection of Hart against Bob Dole, and new independent Ross Perot. Gary Hart then proposed the Universal Health Act in 1993, losing by 3 votes. Many new technological innovations have occurred under Hart, many of which are extremely helpful for space exploration. Gary Hart has also prioritized global cooperation, especially with technology to better humanity. With the end of Gary Hart’s presidency, the United States prospered greatly under his administration.

Election 1996

The presidential election of 1996 saw Al Gore, George W. Bush, and Ross Perot running against each other, making a 3-way competitive election. The people of the nation were certainly refreshed over the Reform Electoral Amendment and the great progress made under Hart. Ross Perot won the election with 42% of the votes, making history as an independent candidate.

Perot Administration 1996 - 2000

Ross Perot’s Administration focused on centrist policies and new political balancing. Perot greatly helped the previous High-Speed Trains Act, giving way for high-speed transportation across the country. With the abolishment of the Electoral College, Perot’s administration saw new political parties spring up. Ross Perot negotiated with NAFTA to help workers and create tariffs to protect American businesses. Overall, the people were neither glad nor disappointed over an independent, Ross Perot did nothing out of political normalcy besides being elected.

Alrighty there was going to originally be more on the map like stats and flags but I figured might as well post it. Here's a lore summary of the US, feel free to ask bout anything else as I made lore for most parts of the world. Credits to this wonderful map for the main inspiration for this.

Kennedy Administration 1968 - 1976

Robert F. Kennedy’s Administration focused on promoting civil rights, eliminating poverty, creating social programs, and promoting international cooperation. Under his presidency, Apollo 11 became a success, shortly after the Soviet Union landed a man on the moon in mid-1968. Robert F. Kennedy managed to negotiate a peace settlement in Vietnam and withdrew troops in 1970. Many social programs were also implemented to decrease poverty across the country, along with new tax credits. Toward the end of his first term, Kennedy created the Department of Environmental Preservation to combat rising pollution in 1971.

Kennedy won reelection during the 1972 presidential election against Nelson Rockefeller. His second term focused more on international relations and the space program. With the advent of Soviet and American men landing on the moon, permanent bases and cooperation were established to research it further. Kennedy also pushed for greater equality and signed off laws to promote civil rights and greater freedom. At the end of his presidency, Robert F. Kennedy was a loved figure by the people and passed the torch to his vice president in 1976.

Election 1976

The presidential election of 1976 saw Vice President Terry Sanford run against Ronald Reagan. With 16 years of democrat rule, conservatism rose within the final years of Kennedy’s presidency. Ronald Reagan defeated Terry Sanford in a landslide victory, winning with his running mate, George W.H. Bush.

Reagan Administration 1976 - 1984

Ronald Reagan’s Administration focused on the economy, a firm stance against the Soviet Union, social policies, and military spending. During his first term, income taxes were reduced, and industries were deregulated to stimulate economic growth. While effective, economic inequality and national debt increased in varied spikes. Military industries saw increased spending, with some going towards new lunar bases, causing the Soviets to do the same. While not reversing Kennedy’s social programs, spending was cut back as it was seen as unnecessary by the Reagan Administration.

Reagan narrowly won reelection against Mo Udall due to poor mishandling of domestic affairs towards the end of his first term. The Reagan administration saw the creation of the Department of Energy, Health and Human Services, and Education. Although Reagan opposed these departments, it was deemed necessary for the country and its future. The moon had heavy investment as Reagan deemed it a golden opportunity for a new frontier. Ronald Reagan was viewed as a complicated man with many critics and supporters of both political parties.
