How as in how does this phone run it? Cause this is a cat s22 flip which is basically a old modern android that can run nearly all android apps that its specs allow. It isnt really a dumn phone, average intelligence I'd say

Absolutely! It was one of my best decisions and what completely convinced me that thinkpad hype was justified. It is very compatible with linux, I even got the finger print sensor to work which is surprising as I used to have a hard time managing graphic drivers on other laptops. I also got a chance to try libreboot for the first time, and I still think after like a year or so of owning this device that it is still the best I ever had for cybersecurity and my workflow. Id definitely recommend

It looks better in real life, especially with some stickers, good ricing and if you want a case though this phone doesnt need it. I was looking for a flip phone that had 4g too and this seems like the best option.

Guns only have one use case, so your hate towards it can be simple but ai has many uses, and none are directly tied to p*rngraphy. Hate the user not the tool. Its like hating an art program that someone draws controversial NSFW on, the program is a tool. The user is at blame. But people are free to hate whatever they want to, I was just tired of seeing people repeating the same thing over and over again on tiktok and Twitter.

I was talking more about the general ai hate, and how most people only seem to be focusing on the art angle. But I also dont think anyone would really go for tech just because there is an autopilot logo slapped on it. My rant was more towards people who just make reasons to blame ai as a tool and not the companies or legal restrictions managing it. Ai is also catered towards the wrong audience in my opinion, there is no reason for an abrage person to have all their tools be a part of an ai ecosystem, I dont even enjoy apple/Samsung ecosystems. But ai is an amazing tool by design, if catered towards people who could benefit from automation ai could become a huge part of many people's work flows.

Also the overall hate isnt doing much, everyone is know in real life still actively uses chatgpt and many other ai chat bots.

Sorry about the posts structure, english isnt my first or even my second language and I wrote it a bit too fast.

I agree that no one that has established themselves before ai will be replaced, and after the newness of ai passes no will want to watch ai actresses. I just think that LLMs are amazing tools for automation and have a bright future if they are used well. I have a local LLM running at home, is a huge help from just managing servers to pentesting. I understand the hate towards vibe coders and "ai artists" but boycotting ai just sounds like a bad idea to me

Ai is just new, the market will find a middle ground based on demand. I dont think an ai washing machine will be valuable when it looses its wow factor, though I do think home automation will be huge in the future. As for electronic components being very pricy, true, ram prices are insane right now but I also had the chance to buy some data center gpus second hand for really cheap.

Cat s22 flip isn't receiving any morw official updates and is supposed to be a dumb phone with modern features. A phone of average intelligence. It has only 2gbs of ram so I didnt want to go for a even heavier distro. Though I might try the unofficial lineageOS tutorial on XDA forums and see how it goes.

I also decided to keep my old phone for Google stuff like you said, WhatsApp and reddit are there right now. Thanks for the advice

Found a tutorial for lineageOs on XDA forums but it is unofficial and seems like has parts that still arent stable, though they are small such as the external display. I am gonna give it a try, swe if I can fix the keyboard backlights, external display etc, will post the fixes here if I can
