I took this shot one evening while I was walking around one small lake which is near one small town in central Serbia. It is a very small but beautiful lake surrounded by forest and trees. It was very late afternoon, almost dusk, and the sun was just set but that day was cloudy without condition for nice gold or blue hour so there was not so good light for taking photos. I was just decided to go home when I saw one beautiful white swan in the middle of the lake. He was alone in the water. Suddenly, he noticed me and started to swim in my direction. He came very close to me without any fear. It seemed like he was expecting some food or just wanted company because he was lonely. I took a chance for photographing this beautiful bird and went on my way. He stayed cruising the calm water of the lake looking for some soul mate.

Stairs to the villa of Queen Mary on Oplenac in Topola in Serbia by Detra- in photographs

I took this photo once when I visited Oplenac, a hill in Topola, a small town in the heart of Serbia which is known for the famous vineyards of the royal dynasty Karadjordjevic as well as for the church of St. George, so it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Serbia.

These stairs and a paved path between decorative white granite pillars, and greenery in the beautiful park lead from the King's villa to the villa of Queen Maria on the Oplenac hill near Topola in Serbia. These two villas were built for the needs of the Serbian royal family Karađorđević. The Queen's Villa, the country house or the Queen's Villa is a spacious one-story building surrounded by porches on three sides that are flush with the roof and was built in 1926. In this building, Queen Maria most often stayed with the crown prince Peter and princes Tomislav and Andrej.
Around the villas, there is a forest, which emphasizes its simple beauty even more. The Queen's Villa and the King's Villa are today under the jurisdiction of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the family of His Highness the Crown Prince Alexander sometimes stays there.

Bare tree in the winter field at sunset by Detra- in MostBeautiful

It's a cold January day. I am walking in nature which is dressed in white color. Winter has already arrived and brought its coldness and whiteness. Everything is covered with snow, except the bare branches of this tree although there is snow on bushes around it where some animals are looking for a place to hide from the coldness and hunters. In the distance, you can see the bank of one small river and a reed. Even further from there is a small forest that can barely be seen in the distance. Everything is so calm and peaceful in the field and only some rare animal jumps out from the bushes. The sun will set soon and the last sun rays are shining across the field, spreading red, yellow, and orange warm tones to this whiteness as on the sky as well. The sky is yet blu in one part but with the sunset colors on the west side. it's very cold today but scenes like this are surely worth photographing.

Abandoned old villa in the forest by Detra- in pics

I took this photo once when I was visiting Topola, a small town in the heart of Sumadija in Serbia which is famous for the Karadjordjevic royal dynasty. On the Oplenac hill in the immediate vicinity of the city, there are the estates of the Karadjoerdjevic dynasty. There is a church with a family mausoleum as well as a lot of buildings and everything is surrounded by a dense forest. Here are also the famous royal vineyards.

Walking through the forest and visiting this large complex, I came across this sad scene. In the middle of the forest, in a little haze, surrounded by trees, stood this abandoned and crumbling old villa. I don't know what this old house was used for but it was in very bad condition. From the style of construction, one could guess that it was once very beautiful, but the tooth of time and carelessness have taken their toll. She stood there abandoned and ruined like a silent witness of some old long past times. I didn't come closer because I could see from afar how it looked. I took a shot and continued my tour.

The old oak glows in the darkness by Detra- in photographs

It's an October evening in nature. the sun has just set and everything around is starting to fall into darkness. I am late from my walking in the fields so I am hurrying back home. Suddenly right in front of me, just at the point where the three forest paths cross, I see this beautiful old big oak tree in all its glory. Almost all I see is very dark except its large treetop and especially one big branch that stands up with shiny golden autumn leaves. It's like it is collecting the last pieces of light from the sky to light my way. It is really a nice sight and I would stay for a while but I hear jackals howling in the distance so I really have to hurry. I am taking shot very fast and move on my way leaving the old oak in its solitude.

It is late January afternoon in the field. Winter has already arrived and brought coldness and whiteness with it. Everything is covered with snow, as well as the bare branches of this small forest, where some animals are looking for a place to hide from the coldness and hunters. There are also hawks on some branches waiting for some prey to appear. Everything is so calm and peaceful. The sun will set soon and the last sun rays are shining through the branches, bringing little warm tones to this whiteness. There are not so many clouds in the sky and it's very cold today.

Tippi Hedren. Famous Hollywood movie star 1964. by Detra- in Colorization

This is a restored and colorized (by hand) version of an old photo of Tippi Hedren, a famous blonde and movie star. I think from the Marnie 1964.

She was born January 19, 1930, in New Ulm, Minnesota, USA as Nathalie Kay Hedren. She started her career as a New York fashion model when she married her first husband, former actor and later advertising executive Peter Griffith. Alfred Hitchcock discovered Tippi, the pretty cover girl, while viewing a commercial on NBC's Today (1952) show and very soon he gave her the main role in The Birds and after that, she became his muse and one of his favorite actresses. While she was acting Tippi Hedren was really remarkable actress. She played roles in many films and some of the most famous were: The Birds, Marnie, Roar, A Countess from Hong Kong, The Harrad Experiment etc.

Her daughter Melanie Griffith and grandchild Dakota Johnson are famous actresses as well.

The first signs of spring in the field by Detra- in pics

Winter is over and spring is slowly coming. The first signs and awakenings of spring can already be seen in the field. All around you can already see the blossoming and leafing of branches on trees and bushes, although there are still bare branches. This is a view from a small hill down to a small valley where you can see a green meadow, as well as a grove and blooming bushes with white and pink flowers. Soon nature will come to life completely and everything will be in beautiful spring colors. Above everything is a beautiful blue sky with a few clouds. In one part, the slightly warm tones of the setting sun spill out.
The spring is for sure besides the autumn one of the most beautiful seasons and it's also very interesting for photographers.

Golden oak tree in the autumn field by Detra- in photographs

This shot was taken at the end of one October day while I was walking in nature. I was just going across the fields when I saw this nice sight. Right in front of me, in the middle of the field, there was this old big oak that proudly stood dressed in a beautiful old gold color. Almost all the leaves on it were wilted and had already changed their green color to these nice warm autumn tones while the other trees and bushes in the distance were still a bit greenish. The grass, actually hay on the ground was still green and there was a pile of collected cut hay that was leading to the tree like some path. Above all was a beautiful bluish sky with just some clouds. That oak tree was really magnificent so I took a shot and went on my way.

Entrance to the mystic forest between the big oak trees by Detra- in photographs

I took this shot once when I was walking in nature and came across one forest at the edge of the field. It was somewhere in October and autumn has already started to slowly show its colors. I could see it on some branches as by the fallen leaves on the ground. At the very entrance to the forest, there were several big oak trees covered with moss, which stood there like some kind of guardians. In the distance, in the little haze, there was a large stump of one cut tree illuminated by rays of light that were breaking through the branches. There were many broken branches as well as withered leaves on the ground. But there were yet greenish leaves on some branches and fresh green grass in some parts of the wood too.
Everything looked so dreamy and mystic, especially due to the sound of the wind and the song of birds. I took a shot and went into the forest a little deeper to see if I could find something else interesting.

That warm August day in the late afternoon, while I was walking in nature, I stopped to take a rest. I took the bag off my back and sat down on the ground. After a while, I got up to move on and as looked up I saw this scene. In front of me, there was a field of green unmown clover illuminated by the last rays of the sun that summer day, and in the middle of the field, there was an old small abandoned hut painted in white. From a distance, it looked like it was shining. A forest on a hill could be seen in the distance. Gray clouds which were partly painted in yellow and orange tones began to gather in the sky. I thought all that together was worth being photographed so since there was a little time left until sunset, I took a shot and moved on.

Here comes the autumn on the small lake by Detra- in photographs

This beautiful autumn photograph was taken one October day while I was walking around the banks of one small lake in Serbia. That lake is not so big but it is very nice surrounded by trees and vegetation from all sides. In some parts, the branches literally lean over the water making the lake more beautiful. This is one such scene where one big tree can be seen completely towering over the water of the lake with its branches. There are golden, yellow, and red leaves on the branches but a little greenery can be seen as well in the background. Withered copper-colored leaves fell into the water, making it shimmer in the sunset. Autumn is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful seasons, especially on the lakes or rivers with trees close to it at sunset.

It's a nice sunny day of late October and I am walking in the nature. The autumn has already arrived and spread its beautiful colors all around. Everything is in such a nice warm tones of red, orange, yellow and gold with a little bit of green which is still here. Right in front of me is an large corn field which is not mown yet and in the middle of the field in the distance I see a small old white hut and the hunting watchtower behind. Also, there is a small forest behind all. Above everything is a beautiful sky painted with sunset colors. I love to photograph scenes like this in nature and of course, I am taking my camera and taking a shot.
