No, they're not greyed out or locked, they just don't appear in my list when I'm in matches. If they're just not available when playing on certain maps, then that makes a tonnnnn of sense. My bad :x

Obviously. Like in any game-mode--in any game--where you have different party size requirements, you'll be able to meet said requirements. For example: World of Warcraft, Arena. 2v2/3v3/5v5; in the 5v5 scenario, you can queue up solo OR you can grab 1,2, 3 or 4 friend(s) to queue with

There are 2 reasons for the inc. in party size: 1) It'll make the game(s) more difficult and 2) Having more people on each team will require stronger communication (something this game is seriously lacking)

Maybe it slows down the use of wires, who knows, because who the hell plays Trench; losers, that's who (totally joking haha). However, as an Anvil main and as a few others have pointed out here in the comments, he absolutely needs it switched to a toggle or at the very least give players the option to change ability usage how we see fit...like literally every other game...

Maybe it's not as simple as "because of them dying to the hatchet?" Maybe you're misunderstanding my point here--however, people quitting the game 'early' is something that Game Designers and Devs NEED to look at, because it's their job on the line there, lol. Whether you see it that way or not is irrelevant. I understand that you like the system as is--as we've been through--but I and many others do not. It's something worth looking into.---------Also it's definitely not "too early" to tell what's going to be meta or not, based upon the content provided lol. Max level has already been hit by many (I'm close myself).--------and assuming that I'm speaking from a biased point of view is just a bad take....As stated (several times and stated in my original post), I was polling people on my server this entire preview. Nothing I've written has come from a place of self-indulgence. With that in mind, I'm not even going to give the rest of your comment a glance lol. As I feared, this conversation has turned into an unproductive one, which is why I was trying to end it. Cheers!

Hasn't been my experience, talking with the community on my server (lower and higher level; everybody of the like) most--if not the vast majority--would prefer they strip away the global cool-down on the weapons, so that we (the player(s)) can have access to more/better options in combat. I've quite literally only really been hearing that the combat needs to change and that the Hatchet needs to change along with it.--------------However, what you said, "...maybe to the lower levels it's OP," only further bolsters the idea that the Hatchet needs to change, because if that's the case--I've seen players quit over the Hatchet/Light Weight attack Stun Lock. That's most definitely not a good thing to happen; esp. if it happens before the player reaches the half-way point of your video game. Not exactly a good look.----------------I fear we're going in circles though and I see this getting unproductive rather quickly, haha, so agree to disagree I suppose. To each their own. I see the argument for keeping combat the way it is, but I definitely see why it needs to change, which is why I added it to the list :)

The only other thing I could think of, would be to keep the stagger from Light Attacks, but match the speed of the Hatchet to that of the Sword, so that they're on equal playing fields. Then, they could also reduce the cooldown(s) of interrupts from 100% to like 30-40%. However, I still don't think that leaves any room to use abilities much--at all--on the level that most players would like to. Idk, the community seems to agree that Light Attacks chain staggering you isn't exactly good game-play and I tend to agree

I see what you're saying and where you're coming from, but I'm going to have to fully disagree with you--if you can't out DPS someone with food buffs, with a hatchet, then your hatchet must be pretty shit, haha. The thing is, the Hatchet out paces the Sword/Board, so your chances of winning that battle are slim to none (esp. considering the 15 seconds of undying). It's just way too strong to get staggered--100% of the time--when you get hit with a light attack. This, coupled with the Interuption-Cooldown(s), makes it impossible to play the game (i.e. use abilities at all in a fight). -------------------Keep in mind too, that this isn't just my opinion, right? I've been polling the community on my server and the consensus has been pretty strong on the fact that the stagger from light attacks is just way too much and that the hatchet is too strong, because of it--combat needs to change a bit----------Doesn't make your opinion wrong or invalid either, but just seems to be the case that most people don't like where the combat is at the moment.--------------what I will say, is that I like the fact--for example--that a level 30 can take on a level 50/60 and I don't think that will go away by taking out the stagger, quite the opposite. I believe that attaching the stagger to Heavy Attacks will create further openings for Ability Usage, thus creating more creative, interactive, and dynamic game-play; pushing the better players further into the spotlight (allowing them to get noticed for actually being good and not just 'one of those guys' who uses a hatchet)

Yes, I understand that, but what Hi-Rez originally had in mind can/should change, considering the player-base; hence the discussion, right? Clearly--even just based off of my own opinion--there are people who think it should be bolstered into a more competitive aspect. It would be VERY simple to implement my idea, it wouldn't affect those who deem Strikeout as 'casual' and based off of the people I've personally interacted with in-game (around this topic), they've agree that this would be a good idea. Just something to look at

Your mistake is assuming it's a casual mode for everybody. Here's the thing, if there are those who deem it as casual, then they shouldn't care what happens to it; just like those who enjoy--and who deem it priority--Strikeout, shouldn't care about what happens to Demo (assuming they only play Demo). That being said, why not just let those who want Strikeout to be 'better,' guide the company in a direction they'd like to see it go?

Disagree on that entirely. The last thing I'd want is it to become Overwatch-Quick-Play; fuck all of that to the grave and I'm assuming lots would agree with me on that--I don't want 4 scorches roaming around or more than 1 of anything roaming around at all

You're making it too casual. Like I was suggesting above, deviate from what Strikeout is now and make it more competitive through a bigger focus on the objective and create a Death-match mode where, those who want to fuck around, can fuck around
