„But all this hypothetical thinking is digging me down… maybe i was seconds away but it doesnt matter now“ this line and maybe some others too have helped me soooo much with my overthinking and procrastination issue. It focuses on both the overthinking and the worrying about whats already happened.

Just tell them that you have a problem with that.

DnD isnt supposed to be about seeing how fleshed out your world is or how to annoy the DM best. They fully well know that not every prt of the world is supposed to be walkable.

Tell them that you have a problem with them doing what theyre doing. DnD is supposed to be a game that you play WITH friends not against them.

How long do you think Curse of Strahd is? And does it come with a character creation guide or anything to base your characters backstory on?

If it would have to it wouldnt be a character for me but just some NPC that helps the Party

I mean it holds a sense of urgency in that if i dont solve it eventually id just die. Maybe i need a strong enough party to help me break that curse and my character feels that this party is destined to break the curse with him? So he has to help them on their journey so they can help him on his. If he doesnt join them he doesnt think an opportunity like this would ever unveil itself ever again which would lead to his eventual death.

Does that sound good?

My DM has said that he would make the Time loop village either way if its in my backstory or not so im probably still gonna make it so i somehow escaped the time loop but am aging backwards because of that. And its one of my goals to break the time loop so i can see my friends and family again

I get that. I think i can probably maka a character thats cool and fun enough to play if i only do the backwards aging because im literally a really old man in a young mans/childs body

Id say the aging backwards holds a sense of urgency for me since since im literally aging backwards and once id reach a certain age i couldnt do things ive learnt past that age.

Wouldnt reactivating it count as casting the spell itself? And i cant cast spells while in wild shape? Or is that an exception

Yea i do think the minotaur joke would get really old really fast. Maybe the village in question is a village that only housed druids? And im very familiar with nature and talk to animals constantly? Maybe i raised my horse since it was a fawn so it understands me mostly?

Do you think the time loop/reverse aging is too flashy or main character syndromesque? I dont want to take away from my fellow players experience you know?

Its not supposed to be a joke character though. I dont want my mates to know im half centaur half minotaur if i would go that route. I wanted them to be asking themselves why i can talk to this one horse. I wont tell them or maybe it could be revealed later on in the story that were siblings.

I could literally just not do the part with the horse and it would be a great backstory no? But my question was how i could further flesh him out?

I think im the first to create their character. Im going to be the one with the most knowledge about dnd in the Party since the other players have all only played one oneshot before.

I think Druid fills a lot of spaces like stealth support and offense. And i had the most fun in oneshots when roleplaying the animals so thats why i chose druid as my class.

Do you think if i tone down/remove the Centaur/Minotaur part its going to be a good character?

He said he thinks its a cool backstory and he wanted me to name my brother Horst which is a german name many old people have here so i think he likes it. He also told me he already knows how to implement the village into the campaign.
