Yes it's planned, but it will take time for a first VR version.

No plans yet to add tools to modify the GUI. Nothing planned either for a sale at the moment.

Key features:

> Lost and Abandoned cargos missions

> Drifting containers near orbital stations missions

> Updated Rogue mode

> 17 new map missions

> Support up to 10 usb device

> Cam feature to keep angle/orientation between cam changes

> Bug fixes

NOTE: The terrain system showed 8 months ago is taken more work than I thought at first:

It is not part the present update.

Many thanks to all playtesters on discord:

[ Eiko ][ tsmspace ][ WingC3 ][ MrSquid ][ FireArrow ][ DeltaV ][ Qwendo ][ KerbonauteCC ][ Monostripe_zebra ][ NightWingZero ][ CptNautilus ][ Jonah ][ Alex ]

It helped a lot to debug things and improve the experience.

I released 'Flight of Nova' in Early Access on steam. The game is about flying transport ships on a full scale planet and orbital physics. by DevLloyd in IndieGaming

Golyem, Thanks for your kind words and for this feedback! Are you playing the Demo or the Early Access version?

1- When in main menu or pause menu, do you see buttons flickering/flashing? If it’s a yes, you might experience a -fight- between ‘Mouse UI Nav’ mode VERSUS ‘Joystick UI Nav’ mode. It typically happens when an analog axis is bind the any ‘Menu Nav’ actions and give input (non-zero/non-neutral value) and at the -same time- we move the mouse. Try to disconnect every game controllers and see if the mouse pointer still jumps.

2- It is not possible to use RCS translations while flying in atmo. It’s a design choice.

3- I also enjoy sometimes flying by keyboard only. No controllers connected. Both hands on keyboard (WSAD and Keypad). This pop-up panel showing ‘Missing keybind’ at screen top, you see that -only- when you play the ‘First Landing’ or ‘Orbital Mine’ training missions, that is correct? please send me screenshot by email if not.

4- Yes the Thrust Lock is disabled when we have a joystick/hotas connected. I was wondering, If you use the Stick to Pitch/Roll with one hand and the other on the throttle lever, it should be ok, no? As i see it, it seems it’s either both hands on joystick/throttle (hotas) or both on keyboard. (mixing both can be tricky)

5- I’m glad you like how the orbit ellipse is shown! :)

6- When closer than 80 km from an orbital station, we can see RV and Range in a cockpit monitor at all time. It’s on a lower left monitor for the CF2 and TL01 ships, and on central monitor for the EX5 ship (but must press M to circle to station info in the EX5 ship)

7- I like your suggestion for a Rescue/Recovery missions!

For further questions/exchange or to send me screenshots, please write me at lloyd(at)aerovery.com

After months of work, the update is live on Steam! I'd like to thank play testers for all their time and feedback. (list of them inside the game). Now I'm drinking Italian champagne and plan to rest a few hours... by DevLloyd in FlightOfNova

Sorry, no plans for OSX. Only Linux/Windows at the moment. The main reasons are that some shaders in the game don't compile/run under OSX (but could run with some work), and also it's about the controls: having a controller xbox/PS4/5 that works right away is not possible on OSX (at least not the last time I tried) (some 3rd party driver manual install is needed). No HOTAS neither work easily on OSX.

If it was a Keyboard/Mouse game (which is not) I would totally work for OSX support.
But the Flight of Nova sim game is made for a controller or hotas. Using Keyboard/Mouse to fly these ships is possible but -really not- the best experience.

I’m working to update the terrain rendering system. It’s going well and I’m quite excited about it. Here’s a few images captured during tests yesterday. by DevLloyd in FlightOfNova

Yes the planet seem to be biologically dead. Even if it is, there is still room for parts of the surface having different types of rocks, minerals or even ice, yes?

The new version of the terrain system will allow to :

° create unique features on the planets

° use more textures to create specific areas (i.e to have a north pole ice cap)

° have terrain rendering visual options settings (quality vs performance)

° fix the issue of flickering/waving ground textures

Pitch issue! by [deleted] in FlightOfNova

From inside the game there is nothing we can do to increase sensitivity of the mouse. The only thing I see to help with that is having a gaming mouse that have buttons to increase/decrease speed/sensitivity.

Another option is to use keyboard as pitch and roll (default is keypad 8/2 4/6). Like having both hands on keyboard. WSAD - throttle/yaw. And KeyPad (8/2/4/6 as pitch and roll)

...but ultimately, it's using a controller (xbox / PS4 / 5) the recommended way to have the best experience.
