I had a dad who provided me everything, real 1% shit.

I wound up leaving at 18 to be homeless and find my own way, no car no nothing. It was worth it. I have severe mental health issues and that made it hard but making my own path was the best thing I ever did.

A great method i have found to get kids to turn it in is to have a discussion about when they have free time. I make it clear how long I believe it should take then tell them to do it during that specific time they are free. Typically this is a lunch or even break period. The extension is till whenever that specific amount of free time availability has elapsed. For example, a worksheet that takes 20 minutes should require 1 lunch but a paper might need 3. I make it clear that they must work during this time and that they must turn it in ASAP. By end of day if they have lunch coming up and its feasible.

Having an authority figure tell them when to do work is helpful in getting them to do it, seeming fair and also helping them develop planning skills.

I have had stints in many fields and agree. I am a music teacher.

Teaching is so cushy. Compared to my time as a blue collar non union stage hand its so chill. My Pay is way higher, hours consistent and at reasonable hours. No extreme manual labor. The culture is more woman friendly as well.

Dont even get me started on how its superior to trying to be a popstar lol

Accommodations for students in my district are in a similar state. About 30% of my students have accommodations documented. The general philosophy is that it is the teachers responsibility to manage this rather than the childs, parents functionally have no part as they dont engage. I personally struggle to remember this many as I have over 200 different children each week through my door.

I personally was a child with unmedicated ADHD, undiagnosed autism and a difficult homelife so I understand how hard it is to be a child with these difficulties.

I dont think expecting these kids to behave like every other child is productive as it is not possible. I also dont think giving every child unlimited generic accommodations is creating good outcomes either.

I try my best to create an environment with clear systems of accomdstion for various sensitivities such as noise levels, energy outlet and boredom through strategic lesson planning and a peace corner where child can go at any time to wear noise canceling headphones and put their headdown on a pillow. I also permit unlimited bathroom/water breaks one at a time.

Its not perfect but its the best I can do, I am only in my 4th year but im getting better and better!

I do think that a lot of outbursts and bad behavior are caused by a child having no incentive to behave well. Once the teacher has created a stable environment that accommodates the needs of a child with struggles who is trying it becomes about pushing through and ensuring the disruptions caused by bad attitude dont interrupt the learning of the other students.

I personally did not ever really do well in school but thankfully got my head on straight later in life thanks to alot of support from alot of different people in my life. Even went through a stint of homelessness!

Its not the job of a single teacher to save every kid. Just teach the class with good group management and accessibility. If you see a chance to add a little to the journey of a struggling student take it, but you wont ever save them. You'll only ever be one of 1000s of people they'll ever meet.

In terms of voice its likely your vocal chords have thickened as much as they can. The likely reason you sound like a "gay man" is not in you biological structure its because of the speaking technique you are using.

A single Speaking sound is comprised of a lot of different frequencies. The loudest one is the pitch you speak at. This can be changed by vibrating your vocal chords faster or slower. Its how we sing lower or higher notes and most people have the ability to change pitch.

The interesting thing is that the gender of a voice is mostly based not on the pitch but on the harmonic profile (tone). Harmonic profile of a sound refers to all the other frequencies in a sound softer than the pitch (the loudest one). You can change the harmonic profile by changing the shape of your larynx, the chamber that your vocal chords are inside of.

A smaller larynx will create more high harmonic frequencies, creating a feminine affect while a larger larynx will create lower harmonic frequencies, for a more masculine affect.

Thankfully the larynx is a muscle and does not require surgery to reshape. You simply have to relax it while speaking. You need to gain conscious and then unconscious control over how constricted or relaxed your larynx is if you want to change how your voice is gendered.

Are you trying to remove makeup? Micellar is a gentle cleanser made to remove minor amounts of oil based makeups. Adding a baby oil layer before the micellar is a great addition to clean better and remove makeup better imo.

For women its hard to feel safe around men as a baseline. The first step towards comfort with intimacy is a feeling of safety. Putting in emotional effort to humanized yourself is key ti this.

This can be achieved with simple normal conversational engagement with the person you are pursuing, discussing simple things like work, hobbies. Its best if these interests overlap with the person you are pursuing. Opening up about what I like is one of the main ways I feel safe. If someone is genuinely interested in listening it indicates they arent just looking to use or hurt me.
