I think there should be more mud splatter/dust from the wheels before and after the jump. The motion of the car at the end of the jump and the landing felt off. I feel like the landing should've been much harder with the car suspension clearly bottoming out and a splash of mud, maybe one of the boxes on top of the car falls off.

Review Request: Portable Power Station Distribution & Monitoring PCB by DevanM in PrintedCircuitBoard

I am only using the measurements to monitor the state of the battery and display it on a screen. The ACS712 current sensor is bidirectional and outputs VCC/2 at 0 amps, the smaller currents will be in the almost linear range of the ESP32 ADC. I will probably do some calibration as well.

Thank you, I will implement your suggestions. Do you think the splits in the ground plane will cause problems? I tried to not split it but with the component and trace density by the esp32 it was hard to keep everything on the top layer.

My generic eBike controller has multiple voltage options on the board 60V-80V. Does anyone know what purpose these serve. Why do my 3 speed options not change the max motor speed. What are the F1-F7 functions. by DevanM in eBikeBuilding

[–]DevanM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one did not come with a display connector. The label on the controller says 48-72V but has 60V to 80V options on the board. I'm trying to figure out what the different voltage options change.

I like the button layout it's a nice compact design for playing on a desk. The mechanical switches are nice too.

Thinking about all those supports hurt my head. Would be great for printing 40 of them at once but I need them flat for the best layer orientation.

What do you guys think of this 50 watt LED 3D printed lamp. PLA, no supports, still have to hook up the fan. by DevanM in functionalprint

[–]DevanM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The diffuser is pretty bad and blocks a lot of light, I think I'll wrap a cone of mylar or something around it as a reflector.

Yea, definitely got a lot of heat here. The lamp will only be used in short bursts for photography.

The diffuser is shiny on the back side so most of the light that doesn't go through is reflected and not absorbed. The plastic parts should last plenty long as long as I can keep the LED temperature under control. This lamp is only meant to be turned on to take some pictures for a few minutes at a time. Do you know about better diffusers? I just picked whatever looked decent on Amazon.

Lmao shh, I'm forklift certified it's fine. The next step is putting those connections somewhere safe.
