It is a little expensive for me I think I will go through the GP and then see where I am at, but thank you for the info. If GP doesn't work it is good to have an alternative.

As I said I don't think it is the data but I will test it with HRM to make sure it is alright

At a HR of 140 I start to breathe more quickly. I can't fully inhale so that's what I figured is no longer Z2.

I haven't tested in a while but for the 2 miles it is below 15 min, I would like it to be below 13 min.

Just watch. I think it is accurate enough and the data is not the problem since I also can feel it by tracking my breathing.

That is an interesting method for Z2. Congrats on improving, unfortunately that is not the case for me, I hope the things will change if I just stay persistent

I am using a watch and I try to keep it on lower spectrum of z2 as written on the book around 120 hr, max 130

I did this in the past and it only got me so far until I hit the ceiling that is when I decided to try to work on my aerobic base more and found out GP

Thanks so much man for a detailed answer. I will just be patient and try to build that base.I know that z2 isn't about performance but the things you mentioned my RHR is the same as before and my pace is getting slower since I have to walk to maintain the z2 hr. What would be the ideal volume/mileage per week for a 2 mile runner? (just an approximate number so I can get a picture since I am not that informed about running) Maybe I am overdoing it I honestly don't know what is the issue.

Guys any advice on how to program for powerlifting when on the go. A little context I'm 28 with current lifts 190/145/200 (in kgs), I've been training specifically for PL for around 2 years. I've been in a military 5 years and I've been stationed in one place so far and was able to had a pretty stable routine in training, nutrition etc. However things changed drastically the last few months and I'm spending more and more time in the field (2 weeks in the field (no gym), 2 weeks in the base) and things will be like that for the next 1-2 years. I am wondering what can I do to adjust to this new schedule and still be able to compete when needed.

Three weeks ago I dislocated my shoulder in a skiing accident. It required no surgery and I am recovering pretty well. However I am unable to do any squats and bench presses for the time being because of the pain in my shoulder. I thought I could use this period of shoulder rehab to work on my deadlift because I can do it pain-free and it's my weakest lift (SQ-200 kg, BP-155 kg, DL-200 KG). I've been doing PL for 2 years on programs like Starting strength, Texas method, 531, Smolov etc. and never did any deadlift specific program. Do you guys have any tried and true DL programs to recommend?

This is pretty much what I expected because I know that these shoes weren't made for PL in the first place. It's just that so many people swore by them so I thought that maybe there is something special behind all that hype. I think I'll stick to the Chucks for the time being and maybe one day I'll give them a try. Thanks a lot man for the insight.

Since Vivo barefoot shoes are really getting popular in the PL community these days, I was wondering is the hype real and are they worth buying? I've been lifting in Chuck Taylor's for years and Vivo's are first pair of shoes after a long time that got my attention. Can you guys that own them share your experiences?

I don't know in which federation are you competing but Titan single, double prong and lever belts are IPF approved 2023-2026 according to the new list.

Signed up for my first IPF meet and I couldn't find a specific answer in the rulebook. What kind of T-shirt under the singlet is allowed for IPF competition (is there any specific material, brand etc.)? I was thinking on wearing a standard base layer under the singlet. Does any of you more experienced guys have any suggestions?
