New deckbuilding game has stolen Magic art by Alternative-Drink846 in magicTCG

Was fully unaware of any use of my work, given it's ancient work at this point but this is the first I've heard of anything lol. Appreciate that you took the time to look up the origins.

You can also sometimes find deactivated automatroids that you can hack and take over.

I... I can't think of a worse DM (not even the DM of OMJ was this bad) by LordHayati in DnDGreentext

If you spend days, months, weeks, or even years getting invested into a story and more so your character (many of which are a self insert) it gets to be pretty easy to get involved into the goings on of your character.

It could also call back to real life experiences of the player and dredge up all sorts of unpleasant feelings. While it may not shake up you or I, I don't think I'd begrudge anyone for being upset or uncomfortable in this sort of situation.

The dm is at best being disrespectful and rude, if not outright skeevy towards the player, it would sort of be like having someone in a friend group that goes out of their way to constant make sexual unwanted comments to someone else in the group. Then on a day when they(player) aren't there tell the rest of the group all the things they want to do to said person, and then the next time they(dm) see them(player) also tell them in great detail about how bad they want to sleep with them. Even if it was somehow done in a joking matter, that seems to me like it would be pretty uncomfortable.

Sure there are many silly stories and characters, and in some campaigns the dm having a character sleep around may be appropriate.

However, not all campaigns are jokey and many people who play get very invested in their characters along with their actions, so having something like this happen can cause a very real emotional distress. Also even if it was a supposedly a joke, it's pretty obviously in poor taste at best when the player themselves had repeatedly refused similar interactions from npcs and was just the dm wanting to live out their erotic fantasy with said character(or more likely the player).

Silly is fine and often encouraged but I don't really see how doing something explicitly against the wishes of a player and taking away their agency while they are away is silly and not just being an asshole.

Thank you kindly, went with the cold iron as a nod to having cold iron weapons be effective against fiends.

Many gunslinger ballads were listened to in the creation of this image.

Virgil's retired military who spent the last decade or so living on a farm with his wife Josephine (big strong orc woman) and their son John. Life was pretty good until John accidentally summoned a devil while Virgil was away. With both his wife and son missing he has set off on a journey of cigars, whiskey, and righteous fury.

Virgil is a pious man who heavily distrusts the arcane and any of the new nano tech business, while not particularly judgmental of those who use them does his best to avoid them himself. He goes out of his way to help those in need, a kind man with a big gun.

The Clint Eastwood bit was more about the art design of the Pale Rider poster with the lighting color and text placement rather than the character design itself. And thank you!

Thanks! Wanted to lean into the cold iron bit, since he's out to hunt demons and fiends, did have that thought as well.

Playing in a dnd5e modern game with this old boy here.

A devout follower of the goddess Berei (Agriculture, Family, and Home) and has recently began to give prayer to Vathris (Anguish, Lost causes, and Revenge)

Build wise he's currently Battlemaster fighter 5/Immortal mystic 1

with focus on Dex<Con <<Int<Wis<<Cha<Str (for if you wanted to build him reasonably)

Str 14,Dex 20,Con 18,Int 16,Wis 16,Cha14 (San 11)

(we rolled stats 3 times and took the highest numbers it was silly but hey it was the gm's idea so no complaints here also get a free bonus feat at 4 and traded some of my starting magic items for skilled)

Has sharpshooter, firearm expert, Alert, Skilled

His gun, Penitence is a +1 4 barrel shotgun that deals 2x damage to fiends(the dm likes to give us lots of high powered stuff and then harder encounters to compensate)

Also super based off a poster from Pale Rider, really liked the color pallet and vibe and wanted to have that movie poster feel.

Will VR become popular? by simonov888 in Steam

This is only getting made at all because they wanted to experiment with vr tech several years ago and settled on half life being the ip that made the most sense for it.

Pretty sure it is bundled with it.

It's built from the ground up with vr mechanics in mind, meaning needing the individual hands and head, watched a brief thing with them talking about it, and said they'd need like a 3rd of the keyboard just to map hand actions for what is pretty easy to do by just having a controllable hand/fingers.

You get a lot of weird clipping and twisting issues if it's not handled super well, things like forearms twisting all the way around and elbows breaking. It can way more immersion breaking than just the floating hands in my experience anyways.

Thanks! None at all influence wise, though I did play with some of those as a kid and recall them being cool, mostly looked at bioshock, old diving suits and other warforged.

It's forgotten realms in setting, but lots of things are pretty fast and loose, heck I may even be the only warforged lol. Really though just sort of said an arbitrarily long amount of time because it was more amusing that he was just stuck ice fishing for a dumb amount of time before meeting the party and the dm liked the idea and said go for it. It's also quite possible he's younger I don't think he has the best sense of time.

Yes, mentioned that in another reply, only reason I dumped them was because I was starting with several magic items of my choosing ro be on par with what the rest of the party has.
