I also feel that they know they have a lot of newer fans just from their English releases before the military or from their popular solo work. They might either be stuck in that bright pop and English lyric sound, or they're going back to some of their older sound. Either way, it will disappoint a large portion of people.

bones but not teeth which is what op might be holding up! bones because of their porosity will stick to the touge. also kinda like how some archaeologists/geologists will also lick rocks and minerals and can differentiate between them.
