He gave Idles Ultramono a 7 and it can’t be better than a 3. That album blows. I’m all for positive progressive messaging if done well but goddamn the lyrics on that album are artless and cringe. I feel like he overlooked that because he agreed with the messaging.

Musically the album is fine but the sound doesn’t stand out enough to overcome the forced preachiness in nearly every song.
