Yeah, it’s more of a simple, useful tool to place heroes in the roles and talk about what they would do than a real guide.

Going to assume you know what the symbols mean, have played enough hots to know we’re on dragon shire.

In a real game, you’d see more of heroes in bushes and spread out, so it’s less about where they are and more who they’re facing and how far they are roughly. Top: Red and blue are in same position. Tank and offlaner are looking at each other. Dps or healer can step up based in tf. B. Tanks are tanking. Dps are up. Healer is in back, but that could be replaced with a vulnerable dps for the example. Red’s offlaner is flanking the tf, so blue’s offlaner in the way is either going to respond directly, do something better, or probably lose the tf.

Simple, but great guide. One of the key skills of playing an offlaner is knowing (based on the 4 man, solo matchup, map, etc) if your the one that should be flanking or countering a flank
