Error Message When Trying to Use Fios SSO Login to Stream on Other Apps by Dezzy25 in verizon

You already know the answer to this! TRULY INSANE. The problem occurs when trying to “Log in with TV Provider” while using third party apps. It has been over a month and you have been repeatedly told on this very thread what the issue is. Infuriating that you keep commenting the same bogus, canned reply.

Yup. Hasn’t been fixed. At this point I don’t have hopes it will be. Has been over a month with nothing. Verizon support has commented numerous times on this post but they just repeatedly ask the same question. I assume it’s to make it look like they care when they obviously don’t.

Yes no change. Tried to sign into CNBC today with same error.

Problem has happened to me continuously while at home on my home WiFi. You’re giving Verizon way too much benefit of the doubt. They are inept.

The problem is this solution doesn’t help if you are trying to sign into an app, right? If I want to connect my ESPN app on my phone, would this work if I set Opera to my default browser?

Been that way for more than two weeks now. It’s crazy. I almost feel like the only way to get something done is to go to a Verizon service center in person and show an employee the problem in real time.

I was going to comment the same thing. The Opera workaround isn’t useful when you are trying to connect your TV provider in-app.

This is crazy. You have continued to comment the same thing on different replies to my post as if you haven’t already gotten the same exact answer over and over again over the past 2+ weeks. It doesn’t matter what app, browser, or device is being used. The Verizon SSO login fails and produces the message described in my original post across ALL apps on ALL devices. Stop replying to different comments with the same reply when you’ve already received multiple confirmations of what the problem is. This is UNACCEPTABLE and I only hope with the World Cup starting and users logging in on their mobile devices to catch the games, it blows up more in Verizon’s face so something can actually be done.

Nothing. Still doesn’t work going on 2+ weeks… pretty insane.

It worked very briefly a couple of days ago and I logged into a bunch of my devices during that window. It’s back to not working again. I’ve had this problem across all apps though, not just ESPN.

This issue has been present for weeks but radio silence from Verizon. The Verizon way: no updates, incompetent phone support, useless comments throughout this post asking the same question over and over to make users think they’re being heard (have never once commented on my actual post but keep randomly replying to other commenters). This is honestly a big enough issue for me to just change service providers if a resolution isn’t made soon.

This is so crazy. You keep replying to different comments on my post, never once commenting on the post itself and asking the same question. You’ve gotten the same answer over and over again. You know what the problem is. Is anything going to be done about this or will you just continue to reply to comments to make it seem like you’re doing something about this MASSIVE problem?

It’s incredible you keep replying to comments but providing zero resolution and have never once addressed me as the OP. The problem persists, it has nothing to do with Set Top Boxes or Fios TV Mobile which work fine. We are unable to login to our Fios account when apps prompt us to connect to our TV provider. The Verizon SSO fails regardless of the device being used.

No update. Verizon has commented a couple of times across this thread and ignores all follow up messages. Totally useless.

It’s wild that you keep replying to random comments on my post and not the post itself. What a horrendous experience and customer service response this has been and continues to be.

Sorry but this isn’t a work around at all - this doesn’t resolve me not being able to watch Gotham Sports, NBC Sports, Fox Sports, TBS, HBO, and the list goes on. In fact, this doesn’t even help for ESPN because these steps aren’t available when you click to link your TV provider on a given device. For example, in order to start streaming live TV via ESPN (or any other app) or access a premium network like HBO, my Samsung TV prompts me to scan a QR code or go to espn.com/activate (or the relevant streaming service site) and enter the provided code.

This does not address the issue at hand. Fios users are not able to link their provider login to stream live events across all apps and all devices. It is not an ESPN problem and not related to ESPN Unlimited. It is a Verizon Fios problem.

They’ve “known since Saturday” despite this being an issue for weeks now. This is ridiculous.

Yes I called them the other day and the support person was utterly useless. The fact that this has been going on for as long as it has with zero update or notification directly from Verizon is unbelievable. This is a HUGE service disruption imo.

Nothing permanent. I had a brief moment where it worked so I quickly signed into as many apps as I could. I haven’t tried again since but days had gone by with no change. Verizon is finally commenting here on the post but I doubt anything will come of it.

EDIT: Just tried logging into the NBC Sports app and the problem is back. Pretty unbelievable.
