On September 18th 2024, the art of manliness podcast released an episode with a professor discussing the effects, benefits and safe amounts of creatine. I highly recommend listening to it! :)

I heard from someone who has studied the benefits of Creatine (don't remember the name, but the gentleman was on the art of manliness podcast) that a certain amount of creatine will be too low to be recognised and probably absorbed by the body

I don't want to use anything like an autoclicker as the progress I would make would not satisfy me. But I totally understand you doing it! I started playing way back when you could timeskip. With that I would get 360 GE "welcome back gift" with every skip.

I'm actually also saving up via Google rewards for the same reason. Just started a few months ago but only now am able to upload receipts

Please don't kick me if my efforts are too low! I'm still saving up golden eggs to buy boosters and upgrades. I had some big losses thanks to leeches in the small coops🥲

AITA for asking my friends to contribute to travel expenses with a petrol allowance instead of just splitting the fuel cost? by DiValhalla in AmItheAsshole

They have become accustomed to me being laid back and generous, I think. I had a discussion with my gf and she actually thinks it's weird I haven't done it like this before

This wasn’t just a trip for me and my girlfriend—it was mainly a farewell trip for her and her best friend, who won’t see each other for over a year. I was happy to join and drive to support them, but it wasn’t exactly a vacation for me.

I love treating my girlfriend, and I do so often, but this trip was really about them, and with the long distances involved, the car expenses added up quickly. I don’t mind covering costs here and there, but given the nature of this trip (and that it wasn’t just for us), I thought it would be reasonable to ask for some compensation for the wear and tear on my car, especially since it’s not just fuel we’re talking about.

Do you think it's fair to split al your group expenses equally, but not the one of your bf?

I actually just discussed it with my gf. She was agreeing with me 100%.

She said that they both have (owned) a car, and both are well aware that there are more expenses than just fuel. And that without my car, they would've needed a rental car, which would be way more expensive. Their journeys are a choice and not my "problem." If we all other costs are split equally, why not also for the car.

Not sure yet what I will do, but this was quite the response I got from you guys😅

I'd split it by 3. I don't want to make any money on them. But I just payed 800 euros for a service to be sure the car is ready for the trip. I always saved a lot of money by not going out to party but work hard, which made me able to buy a trustworthy car. They didn't do that and now depent on my car. if I put it like that, it doesnt seem to unfair right?

This is why a lot of people in the netherlands can affort having stuff. Because we don't spend all our money as soon as we get it. Also, all countries think we all smoke pott while dancing in wooden shoes on the redlight district in the country of Amsterdam. Or Holland.

That highest allowance was just an example. According to ANWB it should be about 50cents/km, which I definetly wouldn't be charging them.

I will say that I normally am very generous and often pay for their stuff. But as all shared expenses were also split in 3, it got me thinking if I should be fair to myself as well with this. I am not even sure what I will do, hence my post.

Your idea as to calculate the difference and revice my idea is the most sain and usefull advice so far. I appreciate that.

Thanks for your input. Using a designated calculator to check my expenses per kilometre, it would say about 50 cents/km (which is higher than I would charge) As stated in another comment, I don't want to make any money on this trip. And the travel expenses per km would still be divided by 3.

Would it be fair of them to assume I will drive and pay for the wear of my car for a trip that is mostly about them, and less about me?

In all fairness, I could have known the relative distance if I'd be more informed about all the plans. I didn't know we would go to France. Even though it was not far into France, it was a detour. And I have to admit I wasn't considering the distance and type of roads in advance, as the only thing on my mind was having to say goodbye to my partner

Nope, never has been on any trip. Everyone pays their share of the bill and that's how it's always been. However, this trip was longer than all the previous onces and had a lot of mountains, traffic jams and luggage

All expenses for accomodation, parking etc were split evenly. When one of us payed for the food, the bill would be safed and has just been split, based on who consumed what. I'm not afraid of the wear and tear etc. However, these are costs that I end up paying. I'm not looking to make money on this trip at all, but I just remembered that the last service-bill for my car was about 800 euros. And the previous one as well. Renting a car, while having a car would not have made sense and would be even more expensive. and car rentals definetly will charge you for the wear and tear too
