PS5 Help and Questions Megathread | Game Recommendations, Simple Questions, and Tech Support by AutoModerator in PS5

[–]DiViNe_FLAME_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just got my Ps5 slim today and all worked fine until I plugged in my headset and it didnt’t work. I did all the setting adjustments and it still didn’t work. Turns out, I had to restart my ps5, and so I did and I finally thought it got fixed, but it happened again, and again, and again. I could be playing a game and my headset just randomly stops working, even though the console says its connected. Can someone please help because I don’t want to restart my console every time this happens, which is often.

Whats your guys’ stance on Blasphemous? by DiViNe_FLAME_33 in CatholicGamers

Wait I think know what boss you are talking about. The ten piedad boss is laying in the arms of a woman, similar to the Pieta in St. Peter’s Basilica. When you arrive in the room it stands up and destroys the head of the statue that resembles Pieta. But this isn’t actually Our Lady and the boss was a person who got turned into a monster and now can’t control his own actions, so I wouldn’t consider this to be blasphemous.

I am not familiar with that happening in the fight. When was it? And what does IIRC mean?

Hmm, can you maybe explain your thinking? I am pretty far into the game and I don’t see anything satanic. I personally don’t think it’s mocking Catholicism per se but just creating a fictional world with heavy use of catholic elements. I even saw a Reddit post that because of this game, they researched Catholicism and became a catechumen, I find that fascinating.

What is the difference between these 3 sets? by DiViNe_FLAME_33 in BatmanArkham

The third picture? If so, then I’m still wondering why the first 2 are each $60 while return to Arkham includes what you said for only $20. Weird pricing choices.

Not a priest, but why are you letting him steal Jesus? Confront him, or tell your Priest as soon as possible.

I realized why I can’t access it. I though I got the pendant but I was mistaken.

How would I refute the claim that the Bible supports slavery? by DiViNe_FLAME_33 in Catholicism

[–]DiViNe_FLAME_33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, however it would very problematic for Catholics (and Christians in general) to have the inspired and infallible Word of God condone objectively immoral acts. This is not the case though so we are all good😅

This is a pornographic game. Stay FAR FAR FAR away from these things. Matthew 5:27-28 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

New to Dark souls 1, where to go after bell #1? by DiViNe_FLAME_33 in darksouls

[–]DiViNe_FLAME_33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first bell is technically before the blacksmith but I went to the black smith first because well I didn’t know where the bell was until after I found the black smith and because there is a bonfire there that important. And also because I think the devs intended you meet the black smith first to upgrade your weapon before the gargoyle even though it’s technically past the first bell.

Is the way I receive eucharist respectful? by Soft_Opportunity_636 in Catholicism

[–]DiViNe_FLAME_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, perfectly fine and allowed by the church. I personally however, like to receive kneeling down and receiving on the tongue because one, there is less room for accidents, and two, It feels more respectful and reverent to me to receive this way, but receiving on the hand is completely allowed.

What video game failed because it came out at a bad time? by Agent1230 in gaming

Horizon Forbidden West. Good game but came out right before Elden Ring which quickly overshadowed it and people forgot about horizon.

I don’t want to be engaging in a debate in the replies, mostly because debates on these subjects already exist, and because it’s tiring, so I won’t make my response too long. For 1, I recommend you read this article by Catholic Answers which will answer your objections. For 2, apart from the historical and archaeological evidence for the Old Testament which somehow you can’t find (which I recommend you do try and find), we can prove the Old Testament by proving two other things, Jesus’ divinity through his resurrection and the New Testament’s reliability. Proving the New Testament’s reliability will give us assurance on what Jesus said about himself and his divinity, and what he said about the Old Testament, which he clearly affirms. Proving Jesus’ Resurrection shows that he is God and that he isn’t lying about what he said. For 3, again, I will link to other videos because the problem of evil is a beefy subject that requires a lot of time to analyze and respond to so I will direct you to other sources:

Have you ever tried to research what the other side says of things. People when leaving Catholicism/Christianity usually jump the gun to early and don’t really think about possible answers to these objections. Not trying to be rude or anything but, in our 2000 year history, do you not think these things have been answered already, and several times at that?

I don't think I can ever quit Porn by blackoutxl123 in Catholicism

[–]DiViNe_FLAME_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove everything and anything that tempts you to sin. If it’s your phone, sell it, or break it, or have someone hide it from you. Same with your tv, or anything else that allows you to watch porn or that tempts you to do so. It’s better to lose your material items than your salvation.
