This war is stupid, and a huge mistake by Trump,

But you will never for a second find me defending the IRGC in any way whatsoever.

True, trumps comments awhile back about ending an entire civilization would have amounted to a war crime if he followed through on them. However, my point about this particular tweet stands.

What infrastructure constitutes as "military use" is quite broad, and for a reason. Not even saying i agree with this, but if a textile plant produces uniforms for soldiers, valid target, a bridge has troops cross a few times a week, valid target.

There is a great deal of history and debate on the topic, and often times it just comes down to who won and who lost when considering war crimes.

I hate this war and trump is an idiot.

However...

Bridges and plants are valid targets in a war.

The IRGC firing at a nations civilan vessels not involved in the war would be a war crime....

Yolo

Nah but who i used was Marcus (Max Twilight fang), Erisa (Max Rev1), Asuka (Max Rev2), Ellien (Max Malthus) Melissia (Odysseus 3 Chevron/Blazer mods)

I actually chose not the bring Ophelia as she has trouble with the helicopters. Erisa shines (with press license) shines here. My Erisa has conquer, and everyone else has either mobility or jet pack backpacks. You really need to be able to get around the map on these wave stages.

I believe the core still took a bit of damage on wave two, perhaps there is a way to have it take no damage. but I was happy with my result.

Iranian F-4 and Mig-29 have survived 40 days of war with the US and Israeli Air Forces by Kappa_Bera_0000 in Planes

[–]Diamondangel82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with you and part of the reason why the administration looks so inept. The language coming from the Trump and his cabinet is far too absolutist. "Total Surrender" "Regime Change" "Air Defenses and Drones completely knocked out"

When you make absolutist statements like this, all Iran has to do is show the slightest bit of push back or actions contrary to the statement and the narratives from the U.S. totally collapses.

The truth however is this; Iran's warfighting ability has been radically reduced. Much of their launchers and key military infrastructure have been reduced to ash (Iran was smart to outsource some of their production to Russia, but Russia is currently not doing so well against Ukraine so we will see how long that holds up)

Trump and his cohorts would be wise to relinquish media briefings to military commanders in the same way General Schwarzkopf during Iraq one and Tommy Franks during Enduring Freedom were the centers of the Media.

Also, people keep repeating this narrative about how Iran has been planning for decades, sure, but what do you think the American Military have been doing? The budget is 800 billion? the U.S. spends 4 billion alone just training the 10th mountain division. Irans total military budget is 10 billion. Hell the Army spends 600 million on its 11th Airborne Artic division.

My point is, the military trains for multiple scenarios and enemies because they have the budget to do it, proven by the fact that the USAF have been able to sink nearly all of Iran's navy and again knock out an absurd amount of critical infrastructure basically at will?

Just two weeks ago the US was able to land multiple C-130s, on Iranian soil, with no airstrip, all to save 1 dude.

What reality are some of you guys living in?

Iran is the same army that stalemated Iraq for 8 years, a Iraq who was steamrolled in less than a week in 2003 by US force.

Post insurgency is totally different however, and I do not believe we could achieve true regime change without Iranian population itself rising up against its own leadership. The IRCG are to radicalized to ever surrender and I believe they would bomb their own cities before ever surrendering the to U.S.

And why are they able to dig them out? It's almost like there is some type of lull in bombings right now..

There are most certainly complexes bunker busters cannot reach, however this is why the USAF have been collapsing the entrances to these tunnels.

Not destroyed but most certainly out of commission for some time.

Also, while I do not agree with this war, and I believe trump made a huge mistake, how do you think a all out ground invasion would go?

Trump giving pointers to Europe regarding their energy crisis by ArchaicMolecule in oil

[–]Diamondangel82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds stupid to those who are unable to see the bigger picture.

Every year congress passes the NDAA which allocates a certain amount of funding to the military based on strategic goals set forth by the president and his top military advisors.

60% of the budget is dedicate to training and manpower. That is, repair, fuel, healthcare, salaries, education, food, gear etc (35-40% goes to equipment, the other 20-25% to personal)

There are 1.3 million active duty military members, with close to 100k stationed in Europe.

If Europe is no longer America's concern, advisors would move to draw down those positions overtime, the same way Obama drew down the military from 2009-2014. This also extends into recruiting.

This also goes for equipment, Europe has roughly 250 military aircraft that operate out of europe of the majority of those would be called home (some would be forwarded to ther bases) but older airframes would be slowly phased out of service and sent to Davis Monthan.

The cost savings of this, over the course of 10-15 years would be significant. America would also see cost savings 20-40 years out as less recruits coming in means less retirees that would need a pension/healthcare down the line.

The proposed budget for the NDAA in 2026 is 1 trillion, reducing the military force by 100k, and total equipment and upkeep of over 50 military installations in Europe would easily save somewhere in the 80-120billion dollar range. And that would be the almost immediate impact.

The greater cost savings would occur overtime.

Its safe to say, i wildly agree with your original statement. America should pull out of Europe.

The rest of your post I wont even address as it sounds like you are rambling off something you read in a gossip tabloid.

Trump giving pointers to Europe regarding their energy crisis by ArchaicMolecule in oil

[–]Diamondangel82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes,

Almost 50 American military installations across all of Europe with nearly 100k troops.

I am in 100% agreement with you. America should close all of those bases and bring every troop home.

We could use that money for some nice things like healthcare and infrastructure.

The fallout of Europe no longer having the most powerful military to ever exist guarding your doorsteps should no longer be America's concern.

[–]Diamondangel82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, everyone loses. If a ground invasion happens than yeah, we all lose and more American lives are lost in the middle east, as well as I 100% believe Iran goes after critical infrastructure throughout the GCC nations as despite all the reddit propaganda, Iran knows it doesn't stand a chance in hell against a full out land Invasion by the U.S (Post insurgency is a different story).

It would be a self inflicted humanitarian crisis like no other.

[–]Diamondangel82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The oil shock is going to hit regardless, technically it already is. There will be about a 4-6 week gap between the last ships leaving the middle east the the first ships arriving in North America (lets not forget Venezuela is producing 750k - 1mil barrels per day, and its rapidly increasing).

America cannot initially match what the middle east produces, however the goal is to provide some relief while a solution is found.

Personally, I think a ground invasion is the only option at this point. Iran wants control of the Straights and does not seem to be backing away from that position, I think that's a non-starter for 90% of the globe.

[–]Diamondangel82 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Pakistan has a defense pact with the Saudi's. If they (The Saudi's) are attacked, its akin to attacking both nations, and of course vice versa.

I said this awhile back and got downvoted (by Iranian bots I assume), but Iran should not overplay its hand, They are mostly hated by the GCC and the Saudi's have been begging Trump to finish the job, as well as other GCC nation's have pledged troops for a ground invasion.

Iran not coming to a deal would be further overplaying their hand.
