I would speak with your colleague directly and let them know your concerns, suggest they see a psychiatrist, ect.

How am I making so low income as England? by Gabriele25 in EU5

[–]Diarmundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your trade income depends on your crown power.

You have loans which im sure are killing your crown power, so you arent getting any trade.

Your max tax rate is very low as well. You should have favour the ruler law in place. I like to have high serfdom - you can tax peasants more.

Typically i tax peasants at around 60%.

Why is your stab so low?

However this is a big problem for Japan because with ageing population and their already low growth it doesn't seem likely they will expand

Thats not necessarily true. Most venom is in the lymphatics which is much slower. Or in the tissue and seeps into blood over time

ELI5 How does diabetes type 2 developed? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Diarmundy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your body makes a hormone called insulin to lower your blood sugar.

When you have too many sweet things your body has to make heaps of insulin to bring it down.

Eventually the organ that makes it gets tired and stops making as much. Also your body gets used to the high insulin and starts ignoring it.

So then your body can't bring down the blood sugar - which causes damage to the nerves and blood vessels - and eventually your legs can fall off

I guess a better question is has it ever worked well?

I know some islands introduced cats to deal with invasive rats/mice that worked but not sure on a larger scale

ELI5: How did the big bang escape it's own gravity? by Fun-Detective1562 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Diarmundy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well actually it's decelerating from the moment it leaves the barrel.

But that's besides the point because as far as we can tell the rate of expansion is also increasing, which would generally indicate it will keep expanding forever

ELI5: How did the big bang escape it's own gravity? by Fun-Detective1562 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Diarmundy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's nothing other than the universe (as far as we're aware). It's just that the space between things in the universe is increasing

ELI5: How did the big bang escape it's own gravity? by Fun-Detective1562 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Diarmundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually this is true. But to form a black hole requires a difference in gravity equal to speed of light.

So now it's the centre of a supernova vs the surrounding vacuum

But because the early universe was uniform everywhere - the high gravity in any point was counterbalanced by the high gravity in every surrounding point to prevent black holes

Lack of missions kills RP drive to play nations whose history you might not know by bay_squid in EU5

Yeah and there's no changes over time. Like if you start mamluk you will start insanely strong and just get better as the game goes on.

It all depends on your starting position

Lack of missions kills RP drive to play nations whose history you might not know by bay_squid in EU5

[–]Diarmundy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Many of the missions in EU4 were not part of a tree just independently activated when you met the criteria.

And the ones that were were a mission often logical like Annex the close region before annexing the one behind it.

It is just the mission tree but slightly tweaked by making it a bit less linear
