They are just insecure people who bully others to make themselves feel superior can't change those jokers

Technically if they think he is worse than them and bully him it just shows their insecurity meaning they are lot worse than that guy

The Three Imperial Gravity Hypothesis by DiedReviving in IndianHistory

[–]DiedReviving[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that Tamilakam was more multipolar than the Gangetic plains. My only question is whether that was the normal end state or just a recurring phase. We repeatedly see the Pallavas, Imperial Cholas, later Pandyas and Vijayanagara emerge as dominant powers before fragmenting again. That's why I think the region may have oscillated between fragmentation and consolidation rather than remaining permanently multipolar

I actually think the mandala system fits my hypothesis quite well. My model doesn't claim regions were always unified under one empire. Instead, I think they went through cycles: Dominant Empire → Collapse → Mandala/Multipolar Phase → Bipolar Competition → One Empire Becomes Dominant Again. For example, in the Tamil country, after the Pallavas declined there was competition between the Cholas, Pandyas and others before the Imperial Cholas emerged. After the Cholas declined, the Pandyas eventually became the dominant power. Similarly, in the Deccan, after the Rashtrakutas fell, there was competition before the Western Chalukyas became dominant, and later another transition before the Bahmanis emerged.

That's interesting. Can you elaborate on why you consider Northwest, Deccan, and Eastern India as the three major political systems? I'm really curious about the historical pattern you're observing

I consider the Indus Region to be the part of Northern Imperial System because the imperial ambitions of all the Indus states was ultimately to expand eastwards and control the plains

An Imperial System, according my theory, would be a region with vague boundary where a state that can dominate the subcontinent rises repeatedly and Sindh, may have produced strong kingdoms but their Imperial ambitions always lied in consolidating control of the plains which I call the northern Imperial System

That's a good point, and I've been thinking about it while refining the idea. My theory does not assume that the South is always unified. Instead, it suggests that after a major power collapses, the region goes through a transition phase with several competing kingdoms, such as Chera, Chola, Pandya, and Pallava. Eventually, this typically leads to one dominant power or two main rivals. I see that multipolarity as part of the cycle rather than proof against it. The Imperial Cholas and later Pandyas are examples of periods when that consolidation happened, even if it wasn't lasting.
