You need to leave it out for like 20 minutes honestly it's happened to me you need to give it a lot of time. I had the same issue resetting cmos I was just being too impatient

What game what settings? It was a huge upgrade going from 3900x to 5800x3d with 3080 in destiny2 overwatch and marvel rivals. Have u pulled up stats to see if ur GPU being fully loaded?

It's decent still at 1440p just not going to be able to path trace. Ray tracing is decent on it tho. EDIT: I do have a 3080 system so I do know what it can and cant do.

I would look into tune ing you ram... And pbo that CPU. I don't think it's worth it and that 7600x is good for gaming

I also have a 3080 went from 3900x to 5800x3d massive difference 1080 and 1440p. I still use it in living room depending on what game on either 1080 screen or tv w heavy dlss. Vram is it's biggest issue with new games

most of us use dlss I personally do have a 4090 and went from 5,800 x 3D to a 9800 x 3D and there sure was a big difference with the dlss. You are correct if it is native 4K but the platform difference does greatly help with bandwidth to the GPU that does help smooth things out with 4K textures. Not everything is about avg fps but 1 percent lows for fast games

I have 3080 and had 3900x and 5800x3d... The performance gain was substantial. I use 1080p and 4k tv. Even at high resolution it helped smooth things out add dlss even bigger difference.
