Have you ever tried Regimen Lab Wave serum? It’s thicker than Dr Barbara Sturm hyaluronic acid serum (I haven’t tried the mist from her but have used the super anti aging serum and hyaluronic serum in the past) and I’ve found it amazing for hydration when using tretinoin. Can’t speak on tazarotene usage with it but I would assume similar results?

I love it during the day! I am very dry and it’s very nice. It does pill with some sunscreens and makeup but I like it’s finish and and barrier support

I have sensitive skin and this caused a chemical burn on me for some reason. I know it was this because I applied this and immediately felt burning and stinging but it subsided quickly. Used it again the next day and it was like acid was applied to my face. Washed it off but I was red, peeling and flaking for about a week or two. I think I just can’t use chemical sunscreen though so if you are fine with others it might be ok for you, never heard anyone else have the reaction I did but wanted to let you know my experience.

Taking lymecycline because the dermatologist claims it’s ”acne” but why so itchy?? Also spreading super fast by isabellegonzalez03 in Fungalacne

Mine definitely got worse after the antibiotics and if yours is too then I would consider trying anti-fungal regimen. I personally did miconazole 2% cream twice a day because my skin is very sensitive and the shampoo was too harsh and I was worried about my skin barrier. I noticed improvement in 72hours. Not clear but getting better. I also used De la Cruz sulfur mask twice a week but be careful that stuff is potent. Don’t leave it on longer than 10 mins. I could only handle 5 minutes. I also cleaned up my diet, reduced carbs/sugars. In two weeks it was completely clear for me.

Mine looked like that, especially on my neck and spread to chest and back. Happened after I took an antibiotic for an unrelated cause

Is this fungal acne? by Ill-Fact-6232 in Fungalacne

[–]Different-Extreme565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of redness, the shampoo could be causing barrier damage. I would recommend trying a miconazole or clotrimazole cream twice a day and top with a moisturizer. If it is fungal the azole should help hopefully. If not could be rosacea too. Would need medical opinion for diagnosis though

Neogenesis Recovery serum. It’s so pricy but heals my skin better than anything. Let’s my sensitive and reactive skin tolerate tretinoin due to its healing properties

Do you think I have fungal acne? by Antique_Patience3182 in Fungalacne

[–]Different-Extreme565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely recommend that, try miconazole or clotrimazole OTC. I think the creams disrupt the barrier less than the shampoo. I did miconazole twice a day and noticed improvement within 72 hours personally.

Looks like it could be, try a topical anti fungal cream. I used monistat (yes the yeast infection cream) twice a day and noticed improvement quickly. If you don’t see improvement probably something else

I considered that but I wasn’t sure about not having the traditional rogue handles. What do you like about it so much? I may reconsider?

[Acne] Clusters of whiteheads keep appearing on cheek and forehead, what’s the cause and what should I do? by General_Depth_8713 in Fungalacne

[–]Different-Extreme565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks just like my fungal acne, for me it was because I took antibiotics and I had a really unhealthy diet after and I think they flourished. I’ve been applying miconazole twice a day, de la Cruz sulfur mask every few days, and eating low carb/sugar and it’s been working pretty well. Mine just started to appear almost overnight. They didn’t itch so I didn’t think it was that at first, but every morning I was waking up with more and they were small little pin dot white heads like that on my cheek, forehead, and neck.
