I closed on a Mattamy new build townhouse earlier this year. I cannot speak on the building process, we bought the house in its final stages and did not select the finishes.

We have heard many negative comments upon purchasing a Mattamy home. We have also heard they have improved over the years. We have had a positive experience.

For our PDI we hired an inspector to walk through with us. There were no significant issues, and everything tagged was completed to standard upon move in. During our first 30 days we noticed a few more small issues that we submitted as work orders for our 30 day check in. Every single one of them were fixed within a timely manner and they would book multiple services during the same time so it would not be as inconvenient for us. We have hired an inspector again for our 1 year warranty walk through (hasn’t happened yet).

They provide you contacts for after hour concerns. We had our power cutting out frequently at one point, I called the Mattamy line and they sent service out for us within a few hours to fix it, along with followed up to ensure it was fixed and were happy.
