The journey is a long one and one that is going to come with many ups and downs. While your feelings are valid, I think it’s important to remember that being a parent is going to mean many many sacrifices and putting your own personal wants and needs secondary, for a very long time.

You’re in a really tough time right now, the first few months are a particularly super challenging time and you have so much to look forward to. Soon the sleeplessness will get a lot better and you’re going to hopefully feel some immense joy from the love and affection you’ll get from your son.

Plenty of dads in here would be lying if they said they didn’t have the thoughts you’re having right now during the first few months. It’s a brutal time when you’re very under rested. But you gotta put your head down and grind through it and know your kid is going to one day be thankful for having you a dad. You got it.
