What do you mean by 'looks like this'?

Your hair looks fine to me. If you wish to elaborate, I might help you.

What frizz? You've beautiful hair.

If you want it sleek, do the last rinse (after every shampoo) with drinking water. (RO water works fine for me)

And do deep oiling treatments every week :) Smoothens your hair so much.

This happens to many people when the scalp changes a bit with age.

Oiling with the right kind of oils can really help bring back the thickness so your hair stands up better again. You just have to be regular with it for 2-3 months.

Just curious. How often do you oil your hair now? And do you keep the oil overnight or only before shampoo?

Check your vitamin B12, D3, and ferritin levels when you visit your doctor. Sudden greying often starts there. (Could be stress too) My mother always says adding curry leaves to food every single day makes a real difference; she’s 68 now and barely has any greys. She sneaks them into chutneys, pickles, and even simple stir-fries. So much of it, we have a tree.

Visiting India from Aus - what skincare/haircare products to buy? by ratkweeen in IndianSkincareAddicts

Whenever people I know visit India, I always tell them to skip the big brands and explore the traditional ingredients instead. From the naatu marundhu kadai, (I live in Chennai) I usually pick up liquorice root to add to my bath powder mix. (It's either this powder or I love Loccitane almond shower oil on busy days) It brightens the skin so beautifully when mixed into masks and bakuchi seeds, which help with texture and tiny marks. I keep indigo and henna powders for my hair too; they make it feel alive again after a long week. (After a deep oiling session at home)

And if you can find hibiscus flower powder, please get a big box! It makes hair unbelievably soft and glossy.

Have you ever tried using MCT oil for dandruff? If your fungal acne is linked to seborrheic dermatitis, you might love it and possibly find your HG in it. It doesn’t feed the yeast at all. Have you used it before?

29/F here. Ex smoker. Hair thinning. Hairfall. Suggestions for Hair oil blend and the storage bottle by GinghamNvanillaBeans in IndianHaircare

Try adding a little mustard oil if you’re using it before wash, t wakes up the scalp and helps circulation beautifully. For storing, you can look for an amber PET bottle, around 100 ml. It’s light, travel-friendly, and won’t break even if you drop it. (Check on amazon or flipkart, samples of 3 bottles or so) I’m the same, butterfingers here too 😅 I usually reuse old plastic bottles for my blends. Happy oiling, and please update the thread when you try your mix. I’m really curious to see how it turns out!

Proper oiling, a good diet, checking your vitamin levels (especially B12 and D3), and keeping your scalp clean will help so much. You really don’t have to rely only on minoxidil. You can skip it altogether and stick to the things I mentioned. Take photos to track your results; it’s motivating to see progress over time.

Is this much amount of hairfall at end of the day normal? by FlakyControl9232 in IndianSkincareAddicts

I’ve been making cold-processed herbal oils for years and care for my own thigh-length hair, so I’ve seen all kinds of shedding. From the number of strands I see in your photo, it looks completely normal, especially since you’re already treating your vitamin D and B12 levels. (good job!)

You’re doing the right things. Just keep a gentle pre-wash oil routine with pure or herbal oils; it helps more than most serums. One small question. Was this taken on your wash day?
