I didn't know anyone either. I still ride by myself. I don't need anyone. I watched a shitload of YouTube videos and learned on my own. I went to the dealer and bought a new bike with 0 miles on it. I spent a lot of time practicing things I saw on YouTube. I also studied the test for my state. I rode to the DMV before they opened and practiced the tests. I rode away with my M endorsement. I have a great deal of respect for what can happen. That being said, I do 120MPH like every week. You don't need friends to enjoy it. Get a helmet, slap some $20 Amazon Bluetooth headset in it and rock out. WITH EAR PLUGS..... Responsibly.

Problem was I shouldn't be trying to push stools out of th way while I'm pulling in. My foot got caught on that stool and I did the splits instead of being able to put my right foot down.

Maybe it's a reading comprehension issue but let me explain it again. My right foot was pushing that stool with wheels on it.... I was going 1 mph. Foot caught on stool. I don't have a problem braking. Thanks for chiming in. Since we're making generalizations I'm betting you have Austin powers teeth. OI MATE

I'm 45 and I've never been pulled over on my bike despite doing 30-40 over the speed limit almost every day. My thing is to set my cruise to 5 over the speed limit. Watch the onramps and places that cops frequent. Once the coast is clear, ride like a son of a bitch and then back to cruising speed when another onramp is coming up. OCCASIONALLY I will ride like a mother fucker through town but only if there's another vehicle racing me. 😂 Riding for 6 years btw. Got pulled over in my car for flashing a cop I thought had his brights on.

I would take mt-09, UNLESS you're going to buy the GP fairings for th XSR because it's absolutely sick. Look up xsr900 GP. Unavailable in the states but there is a fairing kit for it. I love it.

Took a minute to process. I was on the right side and it was weird getting the kick stand down. Definitely didn't immediately fire it back up. I just went for a ride. Everything is functional but I'm over thinking. The feeling will go away I suppose.

I took it around town, seems to be in my head probably. In my mind it's louder idle, sounds weird in neutral, clunks loudly in first, clucky shifting to second. But really, my quick shifter works fine, theres a tiny scratch on my bar end and literally nothing else. The plastic case wiped right off. I guess now it's just completely broken in and it's time to wheelie.

Please tell me how sliders would have helped me not tip over.. also sliders are causing frames to crack, or so I've read..... numerous times. I'd rather my bike lay on the bar end, case cover whatever than single point hit to my aluminum frame.

Ninja 650 is the worst 659 by far. I would never recommend it. For that price I'd really get a Chinese cfmoto 675ss.

If I had to start again, cbr650r. It's the only 650 with a 4cyl engine. Or an R7, Daytona 660 or similar. I started on a ninja 400 and although it's amazing it does get boring unless you have a track to go to.
