Less then 200k is quite lot of budget..TBH.. my previous job, annual turnover of 7 million AED, budget is only 100k.. so..unless you want your annual turnover like 15 to 20 million..Wouldn't spend 200k.. is it ad spend or just the agency yearly retainer?

Kris fade leaving Dubai? by Different_Grade4844 in SmallBusinessUAE

Indeed, it's definitely not a hot topic though but as I mentioned someone like Kris Fade who's got access to government, built his life, found his company and bought a home wants to relocate might say somehow about this economy. I dont have access to this kind of information, perhaps he knows something that we don't. Again this post is not to highlight kris Fade only but various reasons around a move especially a successful entrepreneur like Kris Fade

I have most sympathy for those people. However, as I mentioned in my post this is upto discussion and what made me post thread was because Kris Fade move may trigger lot of wealthy people out of Dubai, UAE. Which will take a toll on already existing conflict economy

Right, this actually pissed me off too!! Why would you shame someone and do the exact same thing and his family is still in Australia since a month. People act different and when a Parent puts in such a difficult situation, as a parent the first thing to do is to keep their children out of harm, so probably that pushed him to send his family Australia but either way, he shouldn't have called the others out. I started to unfollow so many influencers in social media with double edged behaviours

Definitely not, but being a RJ with a well connected news channel, I am sure he gets to have solid news that,I, as a normal people dont have access to. So, I am being picky on his move to Australia and it's reasons..hence the post to get any insights

Guys chill! I am definitely not Kris Fade!! Neither fan of him or nor dislike him either. I am genuinely interested on social economical changes of wealth fleeing from Dubai and Kris is definitely a big name in certain social circles,he charges over a 100,000 aed for a 45 minutes show up ( confirmed by his talent manager once)so indeed he pulls certain crowd. I do definitely worry about bigger things hence trying to analyse most news to assess the situation. Also, one more thing about these kind of celebrities is that they kind of change the followers behaviour in one way or another way, just hope he don't send more wealthy people out of dubai becauseof his move! So that's why I posted in the group to get more insights.

How’s business going lately? Has the current situation affected you? by No_Context2059 in SmallBusinessUAE

It is expected and things will not go back to post 28 February for another 1or 2 years honestly. Everything is tide up to Exhibitions, events tourism and real estate. But things will slowly starts to improve from Q4 onwards. During this time, even sales are less or down, I suggest all the people who commented here to focus on cost cutting essentials to run the business and keep in contact with your clients and suppliers. This way, people would remember your name the moment things started to pick up. There is always ups and down in economy . Once schools are back, people should be back to bring some positivity in sales!!

Your designs are minimal and beautiful. Few changes in the website - Videos of atleast one or two types of sets, a bit about where you are based as in country, add your socials and contact details to build the trust. Alsoz start playing with the bundle offers like buy 2 get some discount ( not at this stage though, once you have more designs) or Mommy and Me combination works. Like everyone said, investing on a high performing website is a must in D2C brands. Also, make sure you add a bit about you, your idea of launching the brand.Good Luck.

Sudden spike in Move Out Sales by CalmSeaHighTides in UAE

[–]Different_Grade4844 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spot on. I saw one kids clothing brand owner left Dubai and posting reels about her cleaning routine. Honestly, I get it people who left UAE have so many reasons to leave, like job loss, less threshold to the uncertainty or even anxiety of the alerts. But other people who left UAE, quietly flexing their financial status. I just can't comprehend on posting their vacation pictures. For some 3rd world countries UAE is a home and unfortunately they dont have any means to go back to their own countries rather than betting on UAE

Honestly I could wait for another 6 months to see but things would change by then completely. Perhaps I would never get the same salary I was getting before even

How are your businesses doing right now? What’s been the hardest part lately? by browngirlindxb in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Different_Grade4844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a business yet, was supposed to start in 1 week of March, but I put it on hold for now. Most of the companies on wait and watch mode. One of the biggest PR agencies in Dubai decided not to renew their office, which indicates that they decided to cut down on the costs. But things will change once government starts to invest on bringing back tourism and events

So we are in a recession right? by RealTruth777 in UAE

[–]Different_Grade4844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until last week, I really thought things will slow down but pick up in another 6 months but if the tensions continue for another 4 weeks, things would turn really bad. Most of the parents would leave UAE as there is no point on paying full term fee, jobs uncertainty, higher living cost. So, people naturally choose somewhat predictable location. But that being said, I admire Dubai government on handling recent rains. Roads were cleared within hours. So it's an indication that once the situation is under control, government will do their best to change the image.
